Rick Scott explained his fiery interview with CNN regarding the evidence that Critical Race Theory (CRT) is being taught in Virginia public schools, in an exclusive Tuesday conversation with the Daily Caller.<\/p>\n<p>Scott, the current chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, appeared on CNN\u2019s \u201cNew Day\u201d on Monday to discuss a range of issues, including the recent Virginia gubernatorial election and CRT. During the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/08\/rick-scott-brianna-keilar-crt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">interview<\/a>, co-host Brianna Keilar refused to acknowledge CRT is being taught in Virginia public schools, while Scott referenced specific examples of the concept being promoted in the state from a government website.<\/p>\n<p>Scott explained the interview exclusively with the Daily Caller. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/08\/rick-scott-brianna-keilar-crt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Sen. Rick Scott Leaves CNN\u2019s Brianna Keilar Reeling After Testy Exchange On CRT)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, first off, they must not have done their research because if you just look at the Virginia Department of Education website, you can see it. All right. And then they didn\u2019t listen to the voters. I mean, they\u2019re very public. You saw the videos of all the people at the rallies, these moms saying, \u2018we\u2019re tired of this. We want to be involved in our kids\u2019 education and we don\u2019t believe they ought to be teaching, you know, kids that they\u2019re either under pressure or oppressed,\u201d Scott told the Caller.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I was surprised that she was she had a lack of, you know, she didn\u2019t know this. What you would hope is that she just didn\u2019t do her homework. So that\u2019s would you hope because you hope that any journalist would be fair out there and put the facts out,\u201d Scott added.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/07\/gop-representatives-merrick-garland-fbi-doj-critical-race-theory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: GOP Lawmakers Demand Explanation From AG Garland For Targeting Of American Parents)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During his Monday night appearance, Scott said McAuliffe wanted to make it seem like there is currently not CRT being taught in the commonwealth of Virginia, then <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/08\/rick-scott-brianna-keilar-crt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">proceeded to cite evidence<\/a>&nbsp;from Virginia\u2019s Department of Education <a href=\"https:\/\/www.virginiaisforlearners.virginia.gov\/what-we-are-reading\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> that shows CRT has been part of public schools\u2019 curriculum even when Terry McAuliffe was last governor of Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to see just like in Virginia Terry McAuliffe wanted to say there\u2019s nothing about Critical Race Theory. We know it\u2019s true. Parents know their kids are being indoctrinated with Critical Race Theory in Virginia and Democrats wanted to deny it. And so parents showed up because they don\u2019t like being lied to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Keilar immediately cut in, saying, \u201cjust to be clear, it\u2019s not in the curriculum in Virginia.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republican Florida Sen.
