Rittenhouse\u2019s lawyers say that he was acting in self-defense.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Earlier in the day, Gaige Grosskreutz, the man who was wounded and survived, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/08\/watch-prosecution-appears-to-fall-apart-as-rittenhouse-victim-admits-he-pulled-gun-first\/\">admitted<\/a> under cross-examination by defense attorney&nbsp;Corey Chirafisi that he had pulled his own gun first, and had pointed it at Rittenhouse, on the ground.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The prosecution then called Detective Antaramian, and Chirafisi went to work again, eliciting an admission that police declined to execute a search warrant on Grosskreutz, and that Rittenhouse had only shot people who were pursuing him.<\/p>\n<p>Chirafisi systematically worked through the other possibilities: \u201cYou\u2019d agree there are multiple times, based on the surrounding circumstances, that he doesn\u2019t pull the trigger, right?\u201d After Antaramian seemed reluctant to agree, Chirafisi cited an example in which an unarmed person ran up to Rittenhouse, and then stepped back, and the latter did not fire.<\/p>\n<p>The cross-examination continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"56\">\n<p><strong>Chirafisi:<\/strong> You saw other people that were kind of \u2014 it wasn\u2019t a two or three-person chase, there were multiple people kind of around Mr. Rittenhouse, some of them brandishing weapons, correct?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antaramian:<\/strong> There were people \u2014 and there were people that were armed, absolutely.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chirafisi:<\/strong> And those people who didn\u2019t attack him \u2014 he didn\u2019t fire at them, did he?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antaramian:<\/strong> Correct.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chirafisi:<\/strong> The only people that he fired at were people that had either kicked him, hit him with something, or pulled a gun on him when he\u2019s running down Sheridan Road, right?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antaramian:<\/strong> I would agree with that statement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chirafisi:<\/strong> And after he \u2014 initially, when he sees Gaige Grosskreutz, you\u2019d agree when Mr. Grosskreutz\u2019s hands are up, he doesn\u2019t fire?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antaramian:<\/strong> Correct.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chirafisi:<\/strong> There is a person \u2014 &nbsp;to Mr. Grosskreutz\u2019s \u2014 it would be his left \u2014 with a metal pipe. Do you remember that?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antaramian:<\/strong> I don\u2019t \u2013earlier, you called it a wooden club \u2014 I don\u2019t know that I\u2019ve ever seen wooden, or \u2014 off, fairly off in the distance there\u2019s a metal pipe, yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chirafisi:<\/strong> So people who are armed, he doesn\u2019t fire at any of those people, does he?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antaramian:<\/strong> Correct.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chirafisi:&nbsp;<\/strong>After the shooting, I counted \u2014 and I don\u2019t, I\u2019m not asking you for the specific number \u2014 but there\u2019s multiple shots fired after Mr. Rittenhouse fires his last shout, right?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antaramian:<\/strong> Correct.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chirafisi:&nbsp;<\/strong>I counted ten, but there\u2019s multiple, right?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antaramian:<\/strong> Agreed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chirafisi:&nbsp;<\/strong>He never turns and fires in that direction, does he?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antaramian:<\/strong> No.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Last year, then-candidate Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/09\/30\/joe-biden-claims-without-evidence-kyle-rittenhouse-is-a-white-supremacist\/\">claimed<\/a>, without evidence, that Rittenhouse was a white supremacist. No evidence to that effect has been presented to the court.<\/p>\n<p>The trial <a href=\"https:\/\/journaltimes.com\/news\/state-and-regional\/watch-live-police-officers-state-lab-expert-testifying-as-rittenhouse-trial-enters-its-second-week\/article_2381a49d-e29e-54c7-8f64-100eff18361d.html?utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_campaign=user-share\">resumes<\/a> Tuesday in the Kenosha County Court.<\/p>\n<p><em>Joel B.
