And our children had to walk past that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The KPIX report continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p>Artani residents say they are confronted with unwanted activity as soon as they exit the garage. They are forced to make a right turn onto Willow Street.&nbsp;They shared photos of a man they say regularly urinates and throws feces. The smell permeates the entire garage. Another photo shows a man trying to break into their garage, by using a bottle to keep it from closing. Others are captured damaging their property \u2013 even trespassing and stealing packages.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, at least 150 residents of San Francisco\u2019s Marina District <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/crime\/2021\/10\/25\/san-francisco-residents-hire-private-security-stave-off-crime\/\">hired<\/a> private security as crimes in the area caused major concern among neighbors, Breitbart News reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t feel safe in our neighborhood,\u201d Marina resident Katie Lyons said. \u201cAnd we have an alarm, we have cameras on our property, but we want the extra security of having someone have eyes on our place.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Video footage from July 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WObJIl1O2wc\">showed<\/a> how a cleanup effort pushed the homeless into other neighborhoods:<\/p>\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"San Francisco Tenderloin Cleanup Effort Pushes Homeless Into Outlying Neighborhoods\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WObJIl1O2wc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p>In early October, the city did a sweep of Willow Street, but the next day, the tents and garbage were back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe police don\u2019t actually come when we call 911, because we\u2019re actively being threatened by somebody wielding a club or a knife, they don\u2019t come,\u201d Lutsko explained.<\/p>\n<p>Neighbors want additional police patrols, and Artani residents said they created a task force to discuss how to fix the problem.
