This comes amid the record-setting apprehension of migrants illegally crossing the border from Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>Fox News published a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/vaccine-mandate-could-cost-border-patrol-more-than-half-of-its-agents-internal-report-says\">leaked document<\/a> they say came from a source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection showing that as many as 50 percent or more of the nation\u2019s Border Patrol agents could be terminated from their jobs under Biden\u2019s vaccine mandate. The report shows a worst-case scenario whereby 11,523 of the 19,536 Border Patrol agents could face removal. (Image: U.S. Customs and Border Protection via Fox News)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"speakable\">\u201cYou\u2019re going to take an agency that\u2019s already gone through an unbelievable catastrophic crisis on the southwest border and deplete its resources further,\u201d former CBP Acting Commissioner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/staff\/mark-morgan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Mark Morgan<\/a>, told Fox News. Morgan reportedly obtained the document pictured above from a source inside CBP.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"speakable\">Fox News reported:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"28\">\n<p>CBP laid out three scenarios regarding the officers who have yet to report their status. The vaccine mandate may not increase attrition from Fiscal Year 2021 levels (scenario 1), in which case the agency would lose about 1,130 agents, dropping the force of 19,536 to 18,403. Alternately, agents who have not yet responded will have gotten vaccinated at the same rate as those who have responded (scenario 2), so the agency would lose 3,084 agents, leaving the force with 16,452 agents.<\/p>\n<p>In the worst-case scenario, agents who have not reported their status have done so because they refuse to take the jab, and so they will be terminated (scenario 3). In that case, net attrition could exceed 11,523 agents, leaving a mere 8,013 border agents on patrol.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This threat to fire unvaccinated Border Patrol agents comes and the agency is forced to deal with record-setting levels of illegal migration across the southwest border with Mexico. During Fiscal Year 21, a record-setting two million migrants were either apprehended by Border Patrol agents or escaped apprehension, Breitbart Texas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/author\/bob-price\/\">reported<\/a> in October. Since that time, a CBP document leaked to Breitbart shows nearly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/border\/2021\/11\/01\/exclusive-migrant-apprehensions-in-october-jump-129-percent-over-prior-year\/\">160,000 migrants were apprehended<\/a> by agents in October and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/border\/2021\/11\/04\/exclusive-50k-migrants-elude-border-patrol-in-october\/\">50,000 more<\/a> were classified as \u201cgot aways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot afford at this time \u2014 during the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/24\/analyst-bidens-record-high-illegal-immigration-unmitigated-disaster\/\">biggest crisis<\/a>&nbsp;as far as border security goes \u2014 we can\u2019t afford to lose any of our employees,\u201d National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd said during a virtual press conference with Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/28\/border-patrol-union-on-bidens-vaccine-mandate-we-cannot-afford-to-lose-employees-during-largest-border-crisis-in-nations-history\/\">reported<\/a> by Breitbart News in October. \u201cIf we lose even a couple of those people, it\u2019s a couple too many as far as the border goes today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A leaked image <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/border\/2021\/10\/14\/exclusive-leaked-image-reveals-covid-vaccination-monitoring-system-for-dhs-employees\/\">reviewed<\/a> by Breitbart in mid-October shows the Vaccination Status System set up by CBP officials to monitor those agents who have been vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe National Border Patrol Council is absolutely opposed to the vaccine mandate, and our search for a legal path continues,\u201d&nbsp;Jon Anfinsen, President of the National Border Patrol Council for the Del Rio Sector told Breitbart\u2019s Randy Clark.<\/p>\n<p>Brandon Judd added that the union that represents the more than 19,000 men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol will \u201cvigorously pursue\u201d and cases where the agency denies a medical or religious exemption to the mandate.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\" readability=\"24.641337386018\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\" readability=\"27.215805471125\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/author\/bob-price\/\"><em>Bob Price<\/em><\/a><em>&nbsp;serves as associate editor and senior news contributor for the&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/border\/\"><em>Breitbart Texas-Border team<\/em><\/a><em>.
