The energy secretary, President Joe Biden and several other administration officials have <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/28\/white-house-energy-crisis-russia-natural-gas-oil-joe-biden\/\">repeatedly called upon<\/a> the Middle Eastern cartel to boost production amid <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/14\/joe-biden-energy-oil-prices-economic-recovery\/\">supply chain snarls<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, Biden has <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/17\/joe-biden-keystone-xl-pipeline-montana\/\">implemented<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/15\/jeff-landry-joe-biden-louisiana\/\">aggressive<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/01\/20\/executive-order-protecting-public-health-and-environment-and-restoring-science-to-tackle-climate-crisis\/\">climate policies<\/a> that have directly targeted the fossil fuel industry and curbed U.S. energy independence, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/27\/energy-prices-gasoline-republicans-kevin-mccarthy-democrats-oil-gas-joe-biden\/\">according<\/a> to critics. Under President Trump, American frackers were large and in charge of both, and prices were low,\u201d Steve Milloy, a former member of the Trump transition team, previously said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the interview, Granholm warned that Americans <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/07\/energy-costs-will-be-higher-jennifer-granholm\/\">should prepare<\/a> for higher heating costs during the winter. The Energy Information Administration <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/14\/energy-expenditure-increase-inflation-biden-admin\/\">forecasted<\/a> that heating costs would surge as much as 54% for Americans in the coming months.<\/p>\n<p>The average price of gasoline increased to $3.42 per gallon on Monday, remaining at its highest level since 2014, <a href=\"https:\/\/gasprices.aaa.com\/\">according<\/a> to a AAA database.
