Far-left Democrats appeared to have doomed the bill before its passing late on Friday, the result of 13 Republicans breaking ranks and supporting Biden\u2019s project.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Global Times<\/em> dismissed the bill as a \u201cfeeble\u201d attempt to compete with China\u2019s communist economy and its extreme spending on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/national-security\/2021\/07\/22\/chinese-media-admit-government-failed-infrastructure-deadly-floods\/\">shoddy<\/a> but <a href=\"https:\/\/asia.nikkei.com\/Business\/Transportation\/China-unveils-600-kph-superfast-maglev-train\">flashy<\/a> infrastructure. America\u2019s capitalist economy, the newspaper declared, made it impossible for Biden to fully control the nation\u2019s economy and thus facilitate the rejuvenation of American infrastructure wholesale.<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Times<\/em>, in a separate editorial, praised the bill and declared its success impossible without Biden flooding the United States with Chinese imports.<\/p>\n<p>Admitted the $1.2-trillion bill was \u201cnot highly comprehensively supported\u201d by the American people, the&nbsp;<em>Global Times<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globaltimes.cn\/page\/202111\/1238357.shtml\">accused<\/a>&nbsp;Biden of attempting to dismantle the fundamentals of the American economy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cMost of U.S. major infrastructure construction was driven by the private sector. Now the Biden administration is trying to take that over with an American-style \u2018planned economy,&#8217;\u201d the editorial observed. \u201cThis is a move trying to reengineer the dynamics of the U.S. economy, using its weak spots to back one of the country\u2019s most daunting tasks. Thus, the chances that the plan will be effectively implemented are slim by any means.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Global Times<\/em> branded the bill an act of desperation in a cold war with China.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.719298245614\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">As usual, Democrats lie through their teeth\u2013and leave working class Americans with the bill. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2kSbdWcdD5\">https:\/\/t.co\/2kSbdWcdD5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1457491949418696708?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 7, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cInfrastructure in China is promoted under the guidance of government. This is adequate for China\u2019s actual conditions and a maximization of using China\u2019s resources,\u201d the propaganda outlet observed. \u201cBut if the U.S. imitates China, the likely outcome is a disordered and feeble plan that does not fit the U.S.\u2019 conditions and market needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe expensive infrastructure programs in the US cannot bring about the return of new tax sources, and this will push the country into a false prosperity papered over by quantitative easing and excessive money-printing,\u201d the editorial concluded.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>The editorial concluded that the American people \u2013 due to innate laziness \u2013 would sink the goals of the \u201cinfrastructure\u201d bill and that, if Biden truly wanted to reengineer the American economy, he would first need to turn lazy Americans into a \u201cresponsible and hard-working\u201d populace like the Chinese.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is tantamount to a fairy tale to revitalize U.S. competitiveness relying merely on a stimulus bill. The US has its advantages, but if it wants to be as competitive as China in some spheres,\u201d the <em>Global Times<\/em> editors declared, \u201cit should turn American people into people who are as diligent as Chinese and turn American officials into being as responsible and hard-working as their Chinese peers.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>In reality, China relies not on a superior culture but an army of millions of slaves, most from ethnic minorities like Uyghurs and Tibetans. The Chinese Communist Party has built an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/national-security\/2018\/12\/01\/reuters-reveals-up-to-1200-muslim-gulags-built-in-china\/\">estimated<\/a> 1,200 concentration camps in East Turkestan, the Uyghur homeland China refers to as Xinjiang, many of them equipped with manufacturing facilities where escaped inmates say authorities force prisoners into slave labor. Outside of Xinjiang, extensive reporting by human rights groups and government researchers has revealed that the Chinese government <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/asia\/2021\/04\/17\/report-online-uyghur-slave-trade-booming-in-china\/\">sells<\/a> Uyghur slaves to factories and cotton fields through state-approved websites.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese Communist Party denies, without substantively refuting allegations, that it engages in slavery.<\/p>\n<p>A separate editorial published on Sunday in the&nbsp;<em>Global Times<\/em> did not dismiss the \u201cinfrastructure\u201d bill as an inevitable failure but depicted China\u2019s slave manufacturers as the key to its salvation.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWhile the Biden administration may not necessarily want to increase imports from China to support the infrastructure plan, no other country except China can meet its need for large amount of industrial goods under such a grand infrastructure program,\u201d the state propaganda outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globaltimes.cn\/page\/202111\/1238349.shtml\">contended<\/a>. \u201cTherefore, the expansion of U.S. infrastructure investment will inevitably lead to the increased imports from China.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Global Times<\/em> did not allow for the possibility of domestic American manufacturing meeting the needs of the bill.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"8.5227272727273\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">GOP BETRAYAL: Thirteen House Republicans voted to bail out Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi\u2019s agenda and pass the $1.2 trillion so-called bipartisan infrastructure bill. The final text of the bill, however, also includes critical cutouts to allow companies to seek waivers from using American workers.&nbsp;The bill permits the federal government to allow the outsourcing of jobs otherwise labels as meant for Americans for vague reasons, such as in the event that giving the jobs to Americans \u201cwould be inconsistent with the public interest.\u201d The bill also allows for importing goods or hiring foreign workers if American production would \u201cincrease the cost of the overall project by more than 25 percent\u201d or if the American products are not \u201cof a satisfactory quality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Once obtained, companies do not have to renew a waiver for five years.<\/p>\n<p>While six Democrats voted against the bill, 13 Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/06\/13-republicans-save-the-squad-from-voting-for-bipartisan-infrastructure-bill\/\">rescued<\/a> it from failing:&nbsp;Reps. John Katko (R-NY), Don Bacon (R-NE), Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), Fred Upton (R-MI), Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), Don Young (R-AK), Tom Reed (R-NY), Chris Smith (R-NJ), Andrew Garbarino (R-NY), Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA),&nbsp;Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (R-OH), and&nbsp;Rep. David McKinley (R-WV).
