The waivers are likely to be a massive benefit for corporations that produce materials and products, often linked to the Chinese Communist Party.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The 13 House Republicans who voted for the bill include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>John Katko (R-NY)<\/li>\n<li>Don Bacon (R-NE)<\/li>\n<li>Jeff Van Drew (D-NJ)<\/li>\n<li>Fred Upton (R-MI)<\/li>\n<li>Adam Kinzinger (R-IL)<\/li>\n<li>Don Young (R-AK)<\/li>\n<li>Tom Reed (R-NY)<\/li>\n<li>Chris Smith (R-NJ)<\/li>\n<li>Andrew Garbarino (R-NY)<\/li>\n<li>Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY)<\/li>\n<li>Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA)<\/li>\n<li>Anthony Gonzalez (R-OH)<\/li>\n<li>David McKinley (R-WV)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 19 Senate Republicans who voted for the bill include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dan Sullivan (R-AK)<\/li>\n<li>Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV)<\/li>\n<li>Mike Crapo (R-ID)<\/li>\n<li>Roy Blunt (R-MO)<\/li>\n<li>Richard Burr (R-NC)<\/li>\n<li>Deb Fischer (R-NE)<\/li>\n<li>Lindsey Graham (R-SC)<\/li>\n<li>Rob Portman (R-OH)<\/li>\n<li>Thom Tillis (R-NC)<\/li>\n<li>Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)<\/li>\n<li>Jim Risch (R-ID)<\/li>\n<li>Chuck Grassley (R-IA)<\/li>\n<li>Bill Cassidy (R-LA)<\/li>\n<li>Kevin Cramer (R-ND)<\/li>\n<li>Roger Wicker (R-MS)<\/li>\n<li>Mitch McConnell (R-KY)<\/li>\n<li>John Hoeven (R-ND)<\/li>\n<li>Susan Collins (R-ME)<\/li>\n<li>Mitt Romney (R-UT)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Twice, in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/09\/22\/exclusive-house-republicans-to-demand-made-in-america-requirements-infrastructure\/\">the House<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/08\/14\/exclusive-buy-american-infrastructure-bill\/\">Senate<\/a>, Republican lawmakers sought to include strict Buy American requirements to ensure that industries would not be allowed to simply secure waivers through well-connected federal agency heads.<\/p>\n<p>Each time, the amendments were crushed and the Republicans who proposed them ultimately voted against the bill.<\/p>\n<p>Though the language of the bill seeks to boost Buy American standards, the waivers are a vehicle to continue economic globalism that has lifted tariffs at the expense of U.S. jobs and wages over the last six decades in favor of importing cheap materials and products via free trade.<\/p>\n<p>From 2001 to 2018, U.S. free trade with China has eliminated&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.epi.org\/publication\/growing-china-trade-deficits-costs-us-jobs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">at least 3.7 million<\/a>&nbsp;American jobs. In 1985, before China entered the WTO, the U.S. trade deficit with China totaled $6 billion. In 2019, the U.S. trade deficit with China totaled more than $345 billion.<\/p>\n<p>American manufacturing is vital to the U.S. economy, as every one manufacturing job&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KeepitMadeinUSA\/status\/1088157044136427520\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">supports<\/a>&nbsp;an additional 7.4 American jobs in other industries.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>John Binder is a reporter for Breitbart News.
