(Photo by AFP)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 12:50 PM PT \u2013 Saturday, November 6, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>A fire at a hospital in western India left at least 11 patients dead and injured several more.<\/p>\n<p>Indian officials said at least 11 people have died as a result of a blaze, which erupted in the COVID-19 ward of a hospital in a western state in India. Reports have indicated 17 patients were in the ward when the fire erupted with the remaining patients being moved to wards in nearby hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>The source of the blaze is still under investigation, though reports indicate an electrical circuit failure led to the fire.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeventeen COVID-19 patients were receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ward an 11 patients died due to the fire. The fire broke out due to a short circuit.
