Noncompliant companies may be fined $13,653 per violation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and if businesses accrue \u201cwillful or repeated\u201d violations, the agency may <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/oshas-covid-vaccine-mandate-for-private-employers\">enact<\/a> fines as high as $136,532.<\/p>\n<p>In response, the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) released a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfib.com\/content\/press-release\/coronavirus\/nfib-statement-on-oshas-new-emergency-temporary-standard\/\">statement<\/a> that blasted the mandate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSmall business owners continue to face numerous challenges to operate, stay open, and pay their employees, and today\u2019s Occupational Safety and Health Administration\u2019s Emergency Temporary Standard makes that even more difficult and troublesome,\u201d said Karen Harned, who leads the NFIB\u2019s Small Business Legal Center. \u201cNFIB remains opposed to this rule that restricts the freedom of small business owners to decide how best to operate their own businesses and imposes unwarranted burdens on small businesses that further threaten the small business recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In September \u2014 when Biden first announced the vaccine mandate \u2014 the NFIB <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.nfib.com\/nfibcom\/NFIB-Letter-David-Addington-9.15.21.pdf\">declared<\/a> that \u201cthe Biden administration in essence threatens America\u2019s small and independent businesses owners\u201d unless companies get employees \u201cvaccinated, tested, or fired.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the Administration wants to command 80 million Americans, who do not wish to get vaccinated, to get vaccinated or tested weekly, the President should ask Congress to enact legislation issuing that command,\u201d the group added. \u201cThen the American people could hold the President, Senators, and Representatives accountable at the ballot box for how they voted on such legislation. That is the democratic way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jeremy Boreing, co-founder and co-CEO of The Daily Wire, likewise <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/jeremy-boreing-explains-daily-wires-lawsuit-over-joe-bidens-vax-order-grotesque-abuse-of-power\">argued<\/a> on Thursday: \u201cForcing Americans to choose between their livelihoods and their freedom is a grotesque abuse of power and we won\u2019t be a party to it.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The conservative media company filed suit against the Biden administration and will be represented by The Dhillion Law Group, Inc. and Alliance Defending Freedom. As a result, the hashtag \u201c#DoNotComply\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/donotcomply-trends-on-twitter-as-daily-wire-files-suit-challenging-biden-vax-mandate\">trended<\/a> on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Daily Wire host Candace Owens commented: \u201cI am unvaccinated. Ben Shapiro is vaccinated. We disagree on our medical choices but we very much agree on our right TO choose.
