To press Facebook and Google to \u201cstop monetizing\u201d these conservative sites, stop allowing them to buy ads and to \u201ccomprehensively label\u201d their climate reporting as misinformation. You don\u2019t have to prove conservatives wrong. Just \u201ccomprehensively label\u201d them as false.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, the left wants to win debates by stopping any debate from happening. The founder of this \u201cDigital Hate\u201d squad is a man named Imran Ahmed, who previously co-authored the book \u201cThe New Serfdom: The Triumph of Conservative Ideas and How to Defeat Them,\u201d with Angela Eagle, a Labour Party member of Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed can already count on jihad from the \u201cobjective media.\u201d Their British socialist friends at The Guardian awarded their report with the headline \u201c\u2018Super polluters\u2019: the top 10 publishers denying the climate crisis on Facebook.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Offering any criticism of climate panic (and climate policy) is \u201csuper polluting.\u201d Does this sound like science, or does it sound like political hyperbole? Naturally, Ahmed told The Guardian, \u201cbig tech is once again on the wrong side of science, truth and human progress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post also provided a pliant piece headlined \u201cBreitbart has outsized influence over climate change denial on Facebook, report says.\u201d Tech reporter Cat Zakrzewski warned, \u201cThe far-right news and commentary site is one of just 10 publishers responsible for nearly 70 percent of interactions with climate change denial content on Facebook.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Twitter, Zakrzewski gushed, \u201cThe nonprofit has been effective in drawing policymakers\u2019 attention to falsehoods on social media, as it did with its \u2018disinformation dozen\u2019 report earlier this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Post reporter avoided any evidence of \u201cfalsehoods\u201d by engaging with conservative articles. She blithely wrote that, \u201cFor years, Facebook has faced pressure to issue a broad ban on climate misinformation,\u201d and that somehow doesn\u2019t strike her as distasteful censorship.<\/p>\n<p>My column on ClimateDepot founder Marc Morano\u2019s book \u201cGreen Fraud\u201d was pictured under the Daily Wire section of the report. In one PBS series called \u201cRace to Save the Planet,\u201d Meryl Streep claimed, \u201cBy the year 2000 \u2014 that\u2019s less than 10 years away \u2014 the earth\u2019s climate will be warmer than it\u2019s been in over 100,000 years. If we don\u2019t do something, there\u2019ll be enormous calamities in a very short time.\u201dIn 2021, that can be defined as climate misinformation.But panic helps Democrats sell a crackdown. The Post story quoted Sen. Sheldon \u201cWhites Only\u201d Whitehouse complaining, \u201cFacebook and other social media companies make money when they send users down rabbit holes of climate change denial. That\u2019s a very dangerous business model for the future of the planet.\u201dApparently, the \u201cbusiness model\u201d is this: Only the leftists get to talk on climate policy; everyone else should be suppressed.
