The move was in reaction to the recently enacted pro-life legislation in Texas, which bans most abortions after six weeks of pregnancy when a fetal heartbeat is detected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn response to alarming restrictive legislative measures against the women of Texas (and increasingly elsewhere) Sonic Youth have announced plans for new releases on their Bandcamp and store\u201d to fundraise for pro-abortion groups, the group announced in an Instagram post.&nbsp;\u201cSonic Youth support a national and world community where abortion is embraced as health care and a human right.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CV4hr4ELTHo\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" readability=\"-0.26582278481013\">\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The first Album, \u201cLive in Austin 1995,\u201d was recorded at the&nbsp;Austin Music Hall while Sonic Youth was on its \u201cWashing Machine\u201d tour in 1995. The second album, \u201cLive in Dallas 2006,\u201d was recorded at the&nbsp;Gypsy Tea Room in Dallas during the band\u2019s \u201cRather&nbsp;Ripped\u201d tour in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Along with the two newly released archival live albums, Sonic Youth is also selling three new t-shirts on their website.<\/p>\n<p>The band said proceeds from the products will&nbsp;benefit the Abortion Support Network, and Fund Texas Choice \u2014 an organization that&nbsp;funds transportation and lodging for women seeking abortions and \u201cenvisions a society in which abortion is embraced as healthcare and a human right.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Sonic Youth is not the only entity in the entertainment industry to show their support&nbsp;for the systematic killing of unborn children.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, pregnant actress Jennifer Lawrence,&nbsp;comedian Amy Schumer,&nbsp;<em>The Bachelorette<\/em> star Rachel Lindsay, actresses Debbie Allen, Patricia Arquette, Rosanna Arquette, Lisa Ann Walter, and Cara Santana, and others <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/10\/03\/jennifer-lawrence-holds-pro-abortion-sign-next-to-her-baby-bump-at-nyc-rally-with-amy-schumer\/\">rallied in support<\/a> of pro-abortion causes.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CUiWbxpLf_o\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" readability=\"-0.375\">\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, left-wing&nbsp;activist and actress Alyssa Milano <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/09\/01\/hollywood-celebrities-freak-over-texas-taliban-abortion-law-force-vasectomies-on-men\/\">went on a rant<\/a> about how \u201cfucked up Americans right now,\u201d and bizarrely claimed that \u201cthis is the most dangerous time to be a woman in America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Celebrities across the country have had a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/09\/01\/hollywood-celebrities-freak-over-texas-taliban-abortion-law-force-vasectomies-on-men\/\">collective meltdown<\/a> over the pro-life law, with some of them \u2014 including Cher, Michael Rapaport, and David Simon \u2014 even downplaying the oppression of women in Middle Eastern countries by dubbing GOP lawmakers the \u201cTexas Taliban,\u201d and comparing the pro-life law to \u201csharia\u201d law.<\/p>\n<p>Actress Bette Midler, on the other hand,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/09\/03\/bette-midler-suggests-women-refuse-to-have-sex-with-men-over-texas-abortion-law\/\">reacted<\/a> to the Texas law by pushing a more novel idea:&nbsp;abstinence.
