The survey shows the two in a dead heat, garnering 42 percent support each. Thirteen percent indicated they were undecided.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.5862068965517\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">2024 National General Election Poll:<\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump 42%<br \/>Joe Biden 42%<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RedfieldWilton?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RedfieldWilton<\/a> ~ 1,217 LV ~ 10\/31<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gUZDoxEHxc\">https:\/\/t.co\/gUZDoxEHxc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 PollTracker (@PollTrackerUSA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PollTrackerUSA\/status\/1456327023756984325?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 4, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Notably, among those who did not vote in the past election, a plurality, 32 percent, said they would vote for Trump, compared to 17 percent who chose Biden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven the variance of the Electoral College, this effective tie in the popular vote would likely mean a victory for a potential Trump campaign in 2024,\u201d the poll found.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cLarge majorities of 2020 Donald Trump voters (87%, no change) and Joe Biden voters (83%, down 2%) maintain that they would again vote for those respective candidates,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p>The survey follows controversy after controversy in the first ten months of Biden\u2019s presidency \u2014 from the botched U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan to federal vaccine mandates imposed upon private businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has yet to definitively say if he will run in 2024, but during an interview in May he predicted that his supporters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/05\/04\/donald-trump-people-are-going-be-very-very-happy-2024-decision\/\">would be<\/a> \u201cvery, very happy\u201d with a \u201ccertain announcement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe answer is I\u2019m absolutely enthused. I look forward to doing an announcement at the right time,\u201d Trump said in the interview with Candace Owens. \u201cAs you know, it\u2019s very early. But I think people are going to be very, very happy when I make a certain announcement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During an interview with Sean Hannity in June, Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/clips\/2021\/06\/30\/trump-says-he-has-made-his-mind-up-about-a-2024-presidential-run\/\">revealed<\/a> that he had, in fact, made a decision on whether he will run again, responding with a coy, \u201cYes,\u201d to Hannity\u2019s question about whether he had made up his mind about 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump are tied in a hypothetical 2024 matchup, a Redfield &#038; Wilton Strategies survey released this week found.
