Gizmodo outlined some of the most commonly used terms, including:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"28.618086040386\">\n<h2 class=\"sc-1bwb26k-1 kpbNNd\">Banhammer<\/h2>\n<p class=\"sc-77igqf-0 bOfvBY\">A tool used internally to remove all of the likes or follows from a given Facebook user, or group of Facebook users. One use-case brought up internally for the Banhammer was cutting out all the likes\/follows from a user after they\u2019d been banned from the platform.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"sc-1bwb26k-1 kpbNNd\"><strong>Hex<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"sc-77igqf-0 bOfvBY\">The team\u2019s internal term to refer to \u201chuman exploitation,\u201d or human trafficking.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"sc-1bwb26k-1 kpbNNd\"><strong>Bouncer<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"sc-77igqf-0 bOfvBY\">An internal tool that the Integrity team used in order to crack down on \u201crelatively small\u201d lists of pages or people. Because we\u2019re talking about a company with Facebook\u2019s scale, \u201csmall\u201d in this case means \u201con the order of thousands,\u201d according to an internal document.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"sc-1bwb26k-1 kpbNNd\"><strong>MAD<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"sc-77igqf-0 bOfvBY\">Short for \u201cMark As Disturbing,\u201d MAD refers to content that might be reported by users (and flagged by Facebook\u2019s content moderators) for, you guessed it, being \u201cdisturbing.\u201d Frequent offenders, according to other Facebook documents that we\u2019ve reviewed, include \u201cborderline nudity,\u201d \u201cgross medical videos or wounds,\u201d and content that tries \u201cminimizing or denying [the] Holocaust.\u201d (It\u2019s unclear whether&nbsp;<a class=\"sc-1out364-0 hMndXN sc-145m8ut-0 kVnoAv js_link\" href=\"https:\/\/jezebel.com\/breaking-bad-man-still-sucks-1845346816\">Mark Zuckerberg<\/a>&nbsp;signed off on that last one.)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"sc-77igqf-0 bOfvBY\">These are just some of the terms that Facebook refers to in a casual manner internally.
