Nikki Haley said that older politicians should have to take a cognitive test during an interview with The Christian Broadcasting Network on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the mental health of President Joe Biden, who became the oldest person to ever enter the office at the age of 78, Haley <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SW0qG9EB2sk&amp;ab_channel=CBNNews\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> that there should be a conversation about \u201canyone above a certain age in a position of power,\u201d as opposed to just one person.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether it\u2019s the House, whether it\u2019s the Senate, whether it\u2019s vice president, whether it\u2019s president \u2014 you should have some sort of cognitive test,\u201d Haley said. \u201cLike, just like you have to show your tax returns \u2026 so that people have faith in what you\u2019re doing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump, whose administration Haley served in, infamously <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/09\/07\/dems-seize-trumps-tax-returns-take-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">refused<\/a> to release his tax returns during his time in office. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/05\/nikki-haley-democrats-believe-america-barack-obama\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: \u2018Democrats Don\u2019t Even Believe In America\u2019: Nikki Haley Goes After Liberals In Reagan Library Speech)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"10.160583941606\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Nikki Haley proposes making any politician above a \u201ccertain age\u201d in the House, Senate or White House pass \u201csome sort of cognitive test.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike just like you have to show your tax returns.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/maGkY2nNRg\">pic.twitter.com\/maGkY2nNRg<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Recount (@therecount) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/therecount\/status\/1456620468195180549?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 5, 2021<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAnd right now, let\u2019s face it, we\u2019ve got a lot of people in leadership positions that are old. And that\u2019s not being disrespectful. That\u2019s a fact,\u201d she added. \u201cAnd when it comes to that, this shouldn\u2019t be partisan. We should seriously be looking at the ages of the people that are running our country and understand if that\u2019s what we want.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Haley pointed to instances where she said <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/08\/05\/joe-biden-cognitive-test\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Biden<\/a> did not appear to fully understand what was going on, such as the fallout from the U.S. negotiating a nuclear submarine deal with Australia without France\u2019s knowledge. Climate envoy John Kerry <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/05\/john-kerry-joe-biden-aukus-france-submarine-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> Biden \u201cliterally had not been aware of what had transpired\u201d in an interview in early October.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe can\u2019t act like he doesn\u2019t know something,\u201d Haley said. \u201cBecause every time he acts like he doesn\u2019t know something from \u2018okay, they tell me to call on these reporters,\u2019 you know, he keeps giving signals that he\u2019s not with it.
