Goldman once claimed, falsely, it existed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"11.633522727273\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">What lying? Nothing in the dossier has proved to be false (including your pee tape). But we can agree that we all look forward to the facts coming out. Everything that has come out so far has shown you to be an out and out liar (eg Cohen tape, purpose of June 9 meeting, etc). <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/or1ZQbCmy0\">https:\/\/t.co\/or1ZQbCmy0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Daniel Goldman (@danielsgoldman) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/danielsgoldman\/status\/1026161732237049860?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 5, 2018<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But Durham\u2019s investigation turned up the back story.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/s3.documentcloud.org\/documents\/21098456\/danchenko-indictment.pdf\">indictment<\/a>&nbsp;relates that in June 2016, a person referred to as \u201cPR Executive-1\u201d \u2014 now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/04\/confirmed-pr-executive-1-in-durham-indictment-docs-is-charles-dolan-jr\/\">confirmed<\/a> to be communications executive and Clinton associate Charles Dolan Jr. \u2014 and \u201cOrganizer-1\u201d visited Russia to plan an October 2016 conference, where they would meet with senior Russian officials and even visit the Kremlin itself. Dolan stayed at the Moscow hotel in question; Danchenko was in Moscow but did not stay at the same hotel.<\/p>\n<p>The indictment relates (paragraph numbers removed):<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"29\">\n<p>Certain of the information in the June 20,2016 Company Report [i.e. the Steele \u201cdossier\u201d] reflected facts that&nbsp;PR Executive-1 and Organizer-1 also learned during the June 2016 Planning Trip to Moscow.<\/p>\n<p>For example, and as alleged above, during the June 2016 Planning Trip, both PR&nbsp;Executive-1 and Organizer-1 stayed at the Moscow Hotel. While at the Moscow Hotel, PR&nbsp;Executive-1 and Organizer-1 (i) received a tour of the Moscow Hotel\u2019s Presidential Suite (ii) met&nbsp;with the general manager (\u201cGeneral Manager-1\u201d) and other staff of the Moscow Hotel, and (iii)&nbsp;attended meetings \u2013 to include with DANCHENKO \u2013 at various Russian government ministries.&nbsp;Further, PR Executive-1 had lunch with DANCHENKO during the June 2016 Planning Trip.<\/p>\n<p>According to Organizer-1, during the aforementioned tour of the Presidential&nbsp;Suite, a Moscow Hotel staff member told the participants, including PR Executive-1, that Trump&nbsp;had stayed in the Presidential Suite. According to both Organizer-1 and PR Executive-1, the staff&nbsp;member did not mention any sexual or salacious activity.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A story of \u201csalacious activity\u201d nevertheless made it into Steele\u2019s \u201cdossier,\u201d via Danchenko.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the indictment reveals Dolan\u2019s extensive Russian contacts, and Danchenko\u2019s use of those sources, at least one of whom openly hoped Hillary Clinton would win the election.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cdossier\u201d was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/national-security\/clinton-campaign-dnc-paid-for-research-that-led-to-russia-dossier\/2017\/10\/24\/226fabf0-b8e4-11e7-a908-a3470754bbb9_story.html\">paid for<\/a> by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee, via opposition research firm Fusion GPS, as arranged by \u201cdemocracy\u201d lawyer Marc Elias.<\/p>\n<p><em>Joel B.
