Such hyperbole is disingenuous, Lomborg <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/climate-activists-disasters-fire-storms-deaths-change-cop26-glasgow-global-warming-11635973538?mod=hp_opin_pos_3#cxrecs_s\">suggests<\/a>, since weather-related deaths have decreased every year even as temperatures have risen slightly.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cActivists constantly talk about the existential threat climate change poses and the deaths natural disasters inflict \u2014 but they never quite manage to total up these deaths,\u201d notes Lomborg, who is president of the Copenhagen Consensus.<\/p>\n<p>The facts do not favor alarmists, Lomborg notes, since the truth is that people \u201care safer from climate-related disasters than ever before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, Lomborg observes, weather-related damage as a percent of gross domestic product is also declining, and from 1990 to 2020 it dropped significantly: from 0.26 percent of global GDP to 0.18 percent.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"5.3781512605042\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Climate Change hoaxers of the world unite!
