It is unknown whether the individual had in-person contact with Biden during the trip. The White House said Psaki had not been in contact with Biden for five days, but it is unclear whether her case is connected to the aide who tested positive while in Europe. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/19\/texas-democrats-coronavirus-washington-dc-voting-reform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: More Texas Democrats Who Fled State Test Positive For COVID)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, I tested positive for COVID. While I have not had close contact in person with the President or senior members of the White House staff since Wednesday \u2013 and tested negative for four days after that last contact \u2013 I am disclosing today\u2019s positive test out of an abundance of transparency,\u201d Psaki said in a statement provided by the White House. \u201cI last saw the President on Tuesday, when we sat outside more than six-feet apart, and wore masks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The aide would be the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/20\/psaki-confirms-white-house-breakthrough-infections-vaccinated-aide-tests-positive-covid-19\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">latest in a series<\/a> of White House officials to contract breakthrough cases of COVID-19.
