The 42-year-old was shot by actor and co-producer Alec Baldwin on set after he was reportedly told that his gun was \u201ccold.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cJumanji\u201d actor said he was \u201cheartbroken\u201d after he heard the news about Hutchins, and within a matter of hours was reevaluating his own production company\u2019s rules concerning guns.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe lost a life,\u201d he said. \u201cMy heart goes out to her family and everybody on set. I\u2019ve known Alec, too, for a very long time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love the movie business,\u201d Johnson continued. \u201cThere are safety protocols and measures that we have always taken in the movie business and we take very seriously, and these sets are safe sets, and we\u2019re proud of that. But accidents do happen. And when something like this happens of this magnitude, [that is] this heartbreaking, I think the most prudent thing and the smartest thing to do is just pause for a second and really re-examine how you\u2019re going to move forward and how we\u2019re going to work together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny movie we do that Seven Bucks does with any studio, the rule is we\u2019re not going to use real guns.
