Ron DeSantis (R) lays out a plan to fight Joe Biden\u2019s OSHA mandate to force vaccinate private business employees by Jan. 4.<\/p>\n<p>Talking to reporters on Thursday, DeSantis said Biden has no authority to impose medical mandates on private businesses, which amounts to yet another instance of federal overreach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe state of Florida\u2019s gonna respond and we will combat the OSHA rule as soon as it\u2019s published. The state of Florida will be joining Georgia and Alabama, as well as private plaintiffs to file a suit,\u201d said the Republican governor.<\/p>\n<p>He also pointed out private sector employers can be held liable for adverse effects of COVID vaccines under existing OSHA rules. Earlier in the day, DeSantis stressed the vaccine mandate will further dampen employment numbers and hurt the U.S. economy.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis alluded to the fact that the federal government is abusing their power asking, \u201cat what point does the federal government have the limit to their power if they can just go ahead and impose this on the entire private economy through an executive fiat? That\u2019s not the way our constitutional system is set up.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">LIVE: Gov. It\u2019s also true if you\u2019re in the private sector and wanna protect people\u2019s jobs. It\u2019s not right to treat people that way.
