Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said again on Thursday that there will be no mandates for children to receive coronavirus vaccinations in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>He also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfla.com\/community\/health\/coronavirus\/florida-will-not-host-state-vaccination-sites-for-kids-governor-says\/\">said<\/a> officials will not set up state-run vaccination sites similar to the ones opened at the beginning of the year for adults, WFLA reported.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe vaccines are going to everybody in the normal medical system the way it is,\u201d DeSantis explained. \u201cSo we\u2019re not doing vaccine sites. They\u2019re at the pharmacies. They\u2019re readily available for everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s any difference in the vaccine that\u2019s doing,\u201d he continued. \u201cI think they may take a lower dosage. So there\u2019s no shortage of availability of any of that. But it\u2019s not something that the state is administering at this point. We basically got it through the whole economy in April. So it\u2019s been available at every drug store since then.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the press conference at Cecil Field in Duval County, the governor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GovRonDeSantis\/videos\/254944209995225\/\">said<\/a> the decision to vaccinate a child for the coronavirus was a parent\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s already not lawful to mandate the COVID vaccine for young children, and we\u2019re gonna make sure that that is enforced and that parents are the ones that can make these key decisions for their children and for their future,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. health officials on Tuesday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/cdc-panel-debates-should-all-school-kids-get-covid-vaccine\/\">gave<\/a> final clearance to Pfizer\u2019s child-size coronavirus shot, the Associated Press (AP) reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Food and Drug Administration already authorized the shots for children ages 5 to 11 \u2014 doses just a third of the amount given to teens and adults. But the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention formally recommends who should receive FDA-cleared vaccines,\u201d the outlet said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, DeSantis has made it clear he will do everything he can to stop the federal government from forcing Florida residents to choose to either receive the coronavirus vaccine or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/25\/ron-desantis-i-will-not-let-heavy-hand-government-floridians-take-shot\/\">lose<\/a> their jobs.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-video\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GovRonDeSantis\/videos\/585917919422057\/\" data-width=\"640\" readability=\"9.3145161290323\">\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GovRonDeSantis\/videos\/585917919422057\/\" class=\"fb-xfbml-parse-ignore\" readability=\"12.701612903226\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GovRonDeSantis\/videos\/585917919422057\/\">I Will Fight for Floridians&#8217; Freedom<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I will not let the heavy hand of government force Floridians to take a shot.
