Joe Manchin (D-WV) warned his fellow Democrats of going \u201ctoo far left.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Host John Berman asked Manchin about&nbsp;Rep.&nbsp;Abigail Spanberger\u2019s (D-VA) statement that \u201cNobody elected [President Joe Biden] to be FDR, they elected him to be normal and stop the chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Manchin, who has drawn ire from his Democratic colleagues for his hesitancy to vote in favor of Biden\u2019s massive spending package, said he believed in the president. He cautioned Democrats from going \u201ctoo far left\u201d because \u201cthis is not a center-left or left country.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI think [Biden] can do that,\u201d Manchin replied. \u201cI really do. I believe in President Biden. I still do. And I will always because he\u2019s a good person. He\u2019s here for the right reason; he really is in government for the right reason.&nbsp; We just have to work together. We can\u2019t go too far left. This is not a center-left or a left country. We are a center, if anything, a little center-right country, and that\u2019s being shown. And we ought to be able to recognize that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI always say that I\u2019m a responsible West Virginia Democrat. And I\u2019m fiscally responsible and socially compassionate.
