The actor later pulled the trigger, fatally shooting Halyna Hutchins and wounding director, Joel Souza.<\/p>\n<p>Halyna&nbsp;Hutchins is survived by her husband, Matthew, and their 9-year-old son,&nbsp;Andros.<\/p>\n<p>While the law firm did not&nbsp;disclose whether Matthew plans to file a suit, sources <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2021\/11\/03\/halyna-hutchins-husband-attorney-hired-rust-movie-shooting-alec-baldwin\/\">told<\/a> TMZ that he does intend to file a lawsuit, and that there will be multiple defendants.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Other <em>Rust<\/em> crew members who have faced heavy scrutiny in the wake of&nbsp;Halyna\u2019s death include the film\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/10\/24\/head-armorer-on-alec-baldwin-rust-movie-set-said-she-almost-didnt-take-her-last-job-over-fears-she-was-not-ready\/\">head armorer<\/a> Hannah&nbsp;Gutierrez-Reed, and assistant director&nbsp;Dave Halls, as they were the last two individuals to handle the firearm before it was given to Baldwin.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18606874\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/hannah-gutierrez-reed-crash06-scaled.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18606874\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/hannah-gutierrez-reed-crash06-scaled.jpeg\" alt width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Instagram<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Gutierrez-Reed, who set the firearm in question on a cart outside the building where a scene was being rehearsed, was the&nbsp;subject of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/10\/27\/report-rust-armorer-hannah-gutierrez-reed-infuriated-nicolas-cage-on-previous-gig-you-just-blew-my-fing-eardrums-out\/\">numerous complaints<\/a> while handling weapons on the set of <em>The Old Way. <\/em>It was&nbsp;her first time as an armorer on a film set, just two months before taking her second job on the set of <em>Rust<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>David Halls, who before the deadly shooting told Baldwin the firearm he gave him was a \u201ccold gun,\u201d was&nbsp;reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/crew-member-baldwin-careful-with-guns-before-fatal-shooting\/\">fired<\/a> from a previous job after a gun went off on a set and wounded a member of the film crew.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Watch below:&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u2018Rust\u2019 AD Was Fired From 2019 Film Set for Gun Mishap\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JM5jfP1BmHs?start=90&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p>Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza said last week there was \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/prop-gun-shooting-alec-baldwin-halyna-hutchins-e6b4d769e5df47ee0c23d4ad69f1992d\">some complacency<\/a>\u201d in how weapons were handled on the set.
