It\u2019s important for this country to have people have confidence in the result of this trial \u2014 whatever it is. And I don\u2019t care what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The media, he said, are \u201csaying things that are totally bizarre.\u201d CNN\u2019s Toobin and \u201canother attorney\u201d on the network discussed the \u201cuncommunicated threat rule,\u201d an \u201cancient rule of our law,\u201d the judge outlined, the report said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was on CNN \u2014 Jeffrey Toobin&nbsp;and another attorney there \u2026&nbsp;A comment was made that the ruling was incomprehensible,\u201d the Schroeder explained. \u201cAnd I think they obviously are not familiar with this rule. That\u2019s our law. That\u2019s the law in the <em>Jackson<\/em> case; it\u2019s the law in the case of the United States against Craig A. Smith, which is 230 federal second 300, a Seventh Circuit case from 2000. This is admissible evidence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Law &amp; Crime, the discussion came up in the courtroom as defense challenged prosecution\u2019s ask to show video with narration the defense deemed \u201chearsay that was inadmissible.\u201d Ultimately, Schroeder only allowed the prosecution to turn on the audio for portions of the footage shown to the jury.<\/p>\n<p>As highlighted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/witness-man-rittenhouse-fatally-shot-acted-erratic-hurled-n-word-shouted-shoot-me-near-gas-station\">The Daily Wire<\/a>, a witness who testified, social media influencer Koerri Washington, confirmed Wednesday that he has seen videos of Joseph Rosenbaum, a man fatally shot by Rittenhouse, hurling the N-word and yelling \u201cshoot me\u201d near a Kenosha gas station on the night of August 25, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Washington also told the jury he made a \u201cmental note\u201d of Rosenbaum due to his \u201cerratic\u201d behavior.<\/p>\n<p>Rittenhouse was 17 years old when he was arrested for fatally shooting Rosenbaum and one other man, as well as injuring a third during unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
