With just one week ago, a report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2021\/11\/02\/one-10-care-home-staff-not-fully-vaccinated-against-covid-deadline\/\">claimed<\/a> that one in ten care home staff are not fully vaccinated \u2014 some 63,000 people \u2014 with around 13,000 employees having already left the care sector.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Boris Johnson\u2019s Conservative government <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2021\/09\/09\/uk-govt-formally-exploring-jabs-for-jobs-vax-requirement-for-health-workers\/\">opened<\/a> a consultation in September on enforcing the same rules on the around 1.45 million staff and while spokesmen have said the decision has not yet been finalised, insiders speaking to major British media, including <em>The Telegraph<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/politics\/2021\/11\/03\/nhs-staff-will-not-have-vaccinated-winter\/\">claim<\/a>&nbsp;that the measures will be introduced by March 31st.<\/p>\n<p>The Tory Party-backing newspaper said sources told them that while the consultation only closed last week, Health Secretary Sajid Javid was \u201cleaning towards\u201d compulsory vaccination.<\/p>\n<p>The government is believed to be making the official announcement shortly, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/society\/2021\/nov\/03\/covid-jabs-to-be-compulsory-for-nhs-staff-in-england-from-april\">according<\/a> to <em>The Guardian<\/em>, with a source telling the liberal-left newspaper that the plans would be delayed until the Spring to stop a Winter exodus of unvaccinated staff.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cGiven the NHS is a horror show just now, with unprecedented pressure all over the place, to chuck an additional spanner in the works by making Covid jabs mandatory now would be foolhardy, and Sajid Javid isn\u2019t a foolhardy politician,\u201d a senior NHS source told <em>The Guardian<\/em>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.7472527472527\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Tens of Thousands Could Lose Jobs Under Mandatory Vaccination for Carers and NHS Staff, Warns Union <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZFrP7O2d9h\">https:\/\/t.co\/ZFrP7O2d9h<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1437488248146866178?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 13, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A Department of Health and Social Care spokesman denied the reports that a decision had been made, telling <em>The Telegraph<\/em>: \u201cWe have taken action to introduce vaccination requirements in care homes and we recently consulted on extending this further across health and other social care services. No final decisions have been made, and we will set out our response in due course.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There is already a high uptake of vaccination amongst National Health Service staff in England, with the latest statistics showing that 90 per cent of workers have been fully vaccinated. However, in some hospital trusts across the country, that figure is as low as 78 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>If the measures are brought in, Health Secretary Javid is unlikely to go soft on the medical staff who refuse the jab, having already told care home staff that if they didn\u2019t want to be vaccinated, they should get another job.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you want to work in a care home, you are working with some of the most vulnerable people in our country.
