class=\"subheading\">President Joe Biden blamed \u201cconfusion\u201d in the American electorate on Wednesday for his party taking a beating politically in elections across the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just think that people are at a point, and it\u2019s understandable, where there\u2019s a whole lot of confusion,\u201d Biden said, referring to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, potential tax breaks, and schools remaining open.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The president took a couple of questions from reporters at the White House after a speech on coronavirus vaccines for children responding to Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/washington-secrets\/trump-sweeps-election-day-goes-4-0?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=ncl_amplify&amp;utm_campaign=20211103-icymi_trump_sweeps_election_day_goes_4_0&amp;utm_content=ncl-AV6XZHcAmb&amp;_nlid=AV6XZHcAmb&amp;_nsid=b0d9bab8-0bb6-4e34-9f36-63c1118e96a9\">losing<\/a>&nbsp;four political races across the country to Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>Biden was asked about his political failure to get his agenda through a Democrat-controlled congress before Election Day, where Democrats suffered heavy losses<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it should have passed before Election Day,\u201d he said to a reporter when asked about his agenda, but he admitted he was uncertain whether it would have helped Democrats in Virginia win.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The president also dodged specific questions about Republicans running on issues like Critical Race Theory<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell I think we should produce for the American people,\u201d Biden replied.<\/p>\n<p>When a PBS reporter asked a question about how Democrats should fight back against Republicans \u201clying about Critical Race Theory,\u201d Biden replied, \u201cWell I think the whole answer is to just speak the truth, lay out where we are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden repeatedly went back to his talking point that Americans wanted to see \u201cresults\u201d in Washington.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we need to produce results for them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Biden pointedly shot down questions about a <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/biden-administration-in-talks-to-pay-hundreds-of-millions-to-immigrant-families-separated-at-border-11635447591\">report<\/a> that his Department of Justice would settle legal cases filed by illegal immigrants separated from their families with payments of $450,000 per person.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if news of the payments would increase illegal immigration to the country, Biden replied, \u201cIf you guys keep sending that garbage out, yeah, but it\u2019s not true.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s not going to happen,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>During his press conference, Biden cracked a joke about Trump when a reporter\u2019s phone ring tone went off<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf that\u2019s Trump, tell him I\u2019m busy,\u201d Biden said. \u201cBad joke, but
