The patent proposes a method of prioritizing vaccination based on counting social interactions via collecting data from electronic devices like cell phones, according to the text of the patent and the patent owners.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CVnef7Il69E\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=823f58d0-9196-46b5-ae4b-dec629b6eada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">This particular Instagram post<\/a> alleges the supposed Pfizer patent will involve \u201cremote contract tracing all vaccinated humans worldwide who will be or are now connected to the \u2018internet of things\u2019 by a quantum link of pulsating microwave frequencies of 2.4 gHz or higher from cell\u2026\u201d The post also claims it is \u201cthe very first patent that shows up in a list of over 18500\u201d for such a purpose. The caption of the Instagram post reads, \u201cYou see their evil plan now?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Instagram post appears to be referencing a <a href=\"https:\/\/patentimages.storage.googleapis.com\/68\/80\/73\/6a17a66e9ec8c5\/US11107588.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">patent<\/a> titled \u201cMethods And Systems Of Prioritizing Treatments, Vaccination, Testing And\/Or Activities While Protecting The Privacy Of Individuals,\u201d based on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CUyjxI4NX5Y\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">other iterations<\/a> of the same claim featuring images of that patent.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/patft.uspto.gov\/netacgi\/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&amp;Sect2=HITOFF&amp;d=PALL&amp;p=1&amp;u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsrchnum.htm&amp;r=1&amp;f=G&amp;l=50&amp;s1=11,107,588.PN.&amp;OS=PN\/11,107,588&amp;RS=PN\/11,107,588\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">patent in question<\/a> explains it is for a method of prioritizing treatments, vaccinations and testing for an infection disease like COVID-19 through a system of a \u201cplurality of electronic devices comprising instructions to generate an ID and, when in proximity of another such electronic device, one or both electronic devices transmit\/receive the ID to\/from the other electronic device.\u201d Based on a \u201cplurality of such received IDs,\u201d the system would create a score and, based on that score and \u201cinformation received from a server,\u201d it would provide relevant information regarding prioritization, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/patentimages.storage.googleapis.com\/68\/80\/73\/6a17a66e9ec8c5\/US11107588.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">patent\u2019s abstract<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Pfizer is <a href=\"https:\/\/patft.uspto.gov\/netacgi\/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&amp;Sect2=HITOFF&amp;d=PALL&amp;p=1&amp;u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsrchnum.htm&amp;r=1&amp;f=G&amp;l=50&amp;s1=11,107,588.PN.&amp;OS=PN\/11,107,588&amp;RS=PN\/11,107,588\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">not listed<\/a> among the patent\u2019s applicants or inventors. Instead, Gal Ehrlich and Maier Fenster of the Israeli firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipatent.co.il\/home\/about_ehrlich_fenster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ehrlich &amp; Fenster<\/a> are listed as such. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/11\/03\/fact-check-italy-health-ministry-change-covid-death-toll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Italy\u2019s Health Ministry Change Its Official COVID-19 Death Toll From Over 130,000 To 3,783?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both Ehrlich and Fenster confirmed in emails to Check Your Fact that the patent is owned by them and not Pfizer. Here\u2019s how Ehrlich explained the invention:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"24\">\n<p>Our invention stipulates that prophylactic measures (including, e.g., the use of drugs or vaccines) to combat a droplet\/air born infective disease, in cases where the measures are in short supply, would epidemiologically outperform if administered first to those practicing more social interactions as compared to those who are at risk (e.g., elderly, sick) as is currently recommended by the WHO for COVID-19 vaccinations, and practiced by all governments.<\/p>\n<p>The implementation of this approach of prioritization may be by counting social interactions by monitoring Bluetooth interactions between cell phones of those individuals that socially interact in a way technologically similar to what is commonly known as digital contact tracing, with one major difference: contacts of apparently healthy individuals are monitored for prioritization of administration of measures, such as vaccines, if, where and when these are in short supply.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Fenster also said the patent is \u201cintended for deciding who should be vaccinated\u201d and \u201cteaches collecting information about people before they are vaccinated and not allowing such information to leave their phones in a way that degrades privacy.\u201d Ehrlich further noted that the invention was \u201cconceived during April\/May 2020\u201d and the \u201cearliest priority date for this patent is August 2020,\u201d at which times COVID-19 vaccines were not yet available.<\/p>\n<p>The patent <a href=\"https:\/\/patentimages.storage.googleapis.com\/68\/80\/73\/6a17a66e9ec8c5\/US11107588.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">does not mention<\/a> microwaves or graphene at any point. Check Your Fact <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/07\/12\/fact-check-pfizer-covid-vaccine-graphene-oxide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">previously debunked<\/a> the claim that the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine contains graphene oxide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no patent filed by Pfizer that would allow for remote contact tracing of vaccinated individuals,\u201d Keanna Ghazvini, a Pfizer spokesperson, told Check Your Fact via email. \u201cAdditionally, there are no microwave frequencies emitted from the vaccine that would make remote contact tracing possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/vaccines\/facts.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">on its website<\/a> that COVID-19 vaccines \u201cdo not contain microchips\u201d and are \u201cfree from metals.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A viral Instagram post claims a Pfizer patent application for \u201ctracking vaccinated humans worldwide via microwave and graphene held in fatty tissues of the vaccinated\u201d was recently approved.
