The highly anticipated election has been viewed by some experts as&nbsp;an indicator of things to come for the 2022 midterms \u2013 and just days ago, Harris appeared to agree, warning Virginians that the result could determine the future of the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happens in Virginia will in large part determine what happens in 2022, 2024, and on,\u201d Harris said during remarks for McAuliffe on Oct. 29. \u201cI\u2019m also here to talk about the fact that each one of you, in your possession, has the ability to determine, yes who will be the next governor but also by extension \u2026 how the country is going to move.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTuesday is a critical day that will determine whether we either turn back the clock or move it forward,\u201d Harris added, calling it \u201ca bellwether for what happens in the rest of the country.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/29\/glenn-youngkin-leads-ties-terry-mcauliffe-polling-trackers-virginias-next-governor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Youngkin Leads Or Ties With McAuliffe In Polling Trackers In Race To Be Virginia\u2019s Next Governor)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&#039;Elections Matter&#039; Kamala Harris Endorses Terry McAuliffe For Virginia Gov. In A Rally\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OOj0RI7xvyk?start=161&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p>Biden, too, admitted to reporters on Oct. 15 that \u201ceverybody understandably reads the two gubernatorial off-year elections as being a bellwether of what may happen.\u201d He pointed out that \u201csometimes it\u2019s been right\u201d and \u201csometimes it\u2019s been wrong\u201d while reiterating his faith in the Democratic candidate whom he publicly backed and campaigned for.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Terry is going to win,\u201d Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2021\/10\/15\/remarks-by-president-biden-before-air-force-one-departure-8\/\">said<\/a> at the time. \u201cIf he doesn\u2019t win, I don\u2019t know how much you read into that, but, you know, I \u2014 well, I think he\u2019ll win.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The president stood by his faith in McAuliffe while in Europe on Tuesday \u2013 just before the polls closed in Virginia \u2013 despite polls <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wjhl.com\/news\/new-polls-show-youngkin-ahead-in-final-day-of-va-governor-race\/\">indicating<\/a> Youngkin was pulling ahead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re gonna win,\u201d Biden told <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/02\/joe-biden-stalled-agenda-wont-play-role-virginia-governor-race-terry-mcauliffe-win\/\">reporters<\/a> during the press conference in Glasgow, Scotland. \u201cI think we\u2019re gonna win in Virginia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Still, Biden was quick to note that if the party did not win, he didn\u2019t view it as a reflection on him. The Virginia race has been tied to Biden\u2019s success in office, with many noting that it was a state the president won&nbsp;by over 10 points against former President Donald Trump in the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe off year is always unpredictable, especially when we don\u2019t have a general election going on at the same time,\u201d Biden said. \u201cThat\u2019s been the case up and down, you know, for a long time, especially as Virginia has turned more and more blue.
