They would like us to believe we are back in 1963 when my father came,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can live where we want, we can eat where we want. We own the water fountains \u2026 I am living proof. In case you haven\u2019t noticed, I am black, and I have been black all my life, but that\u2019s not what this is about,\u201d she declared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to have safer neighborhoods, safer communities, and out children are going to get a good education \u2026 education will lift us all out of poverty,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Sears also noted that letting the children have \u201cmarketable skills\u201d would allow the next generation to \u201cnot just survive but thrive\u201d and&nbsp;\u201ccreate generational wealth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a historic night, but I didn\u2019t run to make history \u2014 I just wanted to leave it better than I found it,\u201d Sears said concluding her speech. \u201cHold on, Virginia, help is on the way \u2014 the cavalry has arrived.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>Jacob Bliss is a reporter for Breitbart News.
