(Photo by ANDREW CABALLERO-REYNOLDS\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The analysis further pointed out that Youngkin\u2019s focus on lowering taxes, improving schools, creating jobs, and reducing crime enabled him to \u201cpeel away a portion\u201d of Latinos who have typically voted for Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>Youngkin likely had great success with Hispanic voters by hammering Democrats over inflation and rising crime rather than going the route of Republican Ed Gillespie in 2017, who \u201cran anti-immigrant ads,\u201d which were unpopular with the demographic, the report stipulated.<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cMany Hispanics who fled their countries fled for those same reasons,\u201d Prince William County Supervisor Yesli Vega (R-Coles), who chairs the candidate\u2019s \u201cLatinos for Youngkin\u201d outreach effort, told the <em>Post<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWhat\u2019s really resonating with the Hispanic community is that you can realize the American Dream if you work hard and apply yourself and you are dedicated,\u201d Vega continued. \u201cThat\u2019s really Glenn\u2019s message: to provide people with an opportunity to access the same resources in order for them to be successful in this country.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18568138\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"37\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2021\/11\/AP_21306128639783.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-18568138\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/AP_21306128639783-1024x681-1.jpg\" alt=\"Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin walks onstage to address supporters at a campaign rally in Leesburg, Va., Monday, Nov. 1, 2021. (AP Photo\/Cliff Owen)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Youngkin\u2019s victory with Hispanic voters seems to mirror a national trend: the demographic has been increasingly moving away from Democrats as the party gives in to its radical leftist members.<\/p>\n<p>According&nbsp;to a late October FiveThirtyEight report, President Joe&nbsp;<span>Biden\u2019s job approval has <a href=\"https:\/\/fivethirtyeight.com\/features\/biden-has-lost-support-across-all-groups-of-americans-but-especially-independents-and-hispanics\/\">dropped<\/a> among Hispanics, marking his \u201cmost precipitous decline.\u201d Support from Hispanic Americans has dropped from the high 60s to below 50 percent. Hispanic voters\u2019 disappointment in Biden and Democrats overall largely stems from his handling of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, the economy, and immigration.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cFor Democrats looking ahead to the 2022 midterms, Biden\u2019s overall approval rating is concerning enough, but if Biden is struggling to win independents and Hispanics, that could snuff out any hope Democrats have of holding either chamber of Congress,\u201d according to the report.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republican Virginia Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin garnered more support from Hispanic voters than Democrat Terry McCauliffe, a Fox News exit poll shows.
