Nancy Mace are calling for the House Oversight Committee to hold a hearing on taxpayer-funded animal testing under Dr. Anthony Fauci.<\/p>\n<p>Fauci\u2019s agency, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), was recently revealed to have spent millions in taxpayer money on abusive animal testing by taxpayer watchdog group White Coat Waste Project. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/05\/antony-fauci-niaid-white-coat-waste-anima-experiment-abuse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Multiple studies funded<\/a> by NIAID resulted in the torture and euthanizing of dozens of beagles, despite the Food and Drug Administration declaring the animal research in question unnecessary for new drug development.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"6.0304568527919\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Joined <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TMZLive?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@TMZLive<\/a> to talk about the gruesome animal testing going on at the NIH using your tax dollars. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FauciFreakshow?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#FauciFreakshow<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/IDkDx4Eh5v\">pic.twitter.com\/IDkDx4Eh5v<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep. Nancy Mace (@RepNancyMace) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepNancyMace\/status\/1455304142709198850?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 1, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cOver the last two weeks, we have learned about the barbaric, taxpayer-funded, government-led experimentations on animals \u2014 specifically puppies,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/mace.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/rep-mace-calls-hearing-dr-fauci-nih-and-taxpayer-funded-animal-testing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mace said<\/a> in a release. \u201cAs I\u2019ve started to dig into this issue, the more I learn, the worse it gets. The House Oversight Committee should explore what research is legitimate and what is not and ensure taxpayer money is not used to support inhumane and cruel experiments on puppies and other animals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fauci <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/24\/anthony-fauci-animal-testing-arrest-wuhan-lab-covid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">came under intense scrutiny<\/a> in October after one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/04\/anthony-fauci-niaid-georgia-beagle-experiment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">beagle experiments<\/a> was first reported by the Daily Caller. He has not publicly addressed the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/21\/bipartisan-letter-anthony-fauci-niaid-animal-testing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">criticism<\/a> of NIAID\u2019s funding of animal testing since the controversy arose.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDe-barking beagles, poisoning puppies and infesting dogs with flies and ticks in gruesome experiments with our tax dollars is a national disgrace that\u2019s uniting Americans. We applaud Rep. The Oversight Committee is chaired by Democratic New York Rep.
