The results do not say who received those write-in votes, but Brown has waged an aggressive write-in campaign since he lost the Democratic Party primary back in June.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Brown called his apparent victory, which would see him govern for a fifth term, \u201cone of the greatest comeback stories in our history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In June, the Associated Press <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/india-walton-defeats-buffalo-mayor-in-democratic-primary\/\">reported<\/a> that Walton was \u201con track\u201d to become the city\u2019s next mayor \u2014 as well as the first socialist mayor and the first female mayor.<\/p>\n<p>That did not sit well with traditional Democrats, some of whom were stunned into action by the primary.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<div id=\"attachment_18581490\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" readability=\"39\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/anti-Socialism-Buffalo-protest-Associated-Press-e1635910277694.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18581490\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/anti-Socialism-Buffalo-protest-Associated-Press-e1635910277694.jpg\" alt=\"anti-Socialism Buffalo protest (Joshua Bessex \/ Associated Press)\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">A protester holds a sign as people line up to enter a rally for Buffalo mayoral candidate India Walton on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, in Buffalo, N.Y.
