Elise&nbsp;Stefanik\u2019s (R-NY) district, according to emails obtained by Breitbart News.<\/p>\n<p>The town and village of Canton, New York, serves as home to St. Lawrence University, a liberal arts college where Martha Foley has been campaigning among the faculty on behalf of local Democrats. Foley, a candidate for Canton Town Council, also pushed several statewide propositions that will alter the voting process in the Democrats\u2019 favor.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/FOLEY-CANDIDATE.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18560834\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/FOLEY-CANDIDATE.png\" alt width=\"663\" height=\"441\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c<\/em>It\u2019s no surprise to hardworking North Country families that NCPR (North Country Public Radio) is illegally using their NPR email system to campaign for local Democrats and to smear Republicans in multiple mass email blasts,\u201d Rep. Stefanik said in a statement to Breitbart News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey need to apologize immediately, and the taxpayers of the North Country deserve an audit of NCPR\u2019s activities, which are funded by hardworking taxpayers. It\u2019s never been clearer, once we take the majority in 2022, we must DEFUND NPR. They can campaign for the Democrats on their own dime, not on the taxpayers\u2019 dime,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/LARABEE-PROEM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18560842\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/LARABEE-PROEM.png\" alt width=\"673\" height=\"388\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In an email to St. Lawrence faculty on November 1, Foley directly campaigned for several Democrats running in Canton: Incumbent Town Supervisor Mary Ann Ashley, Incumbent Councilman Jim Smith, and candidate for Town Council Dave Nelson. She also campaigned for&nbsp;Village of Canton incumbents Beth Larrabee and Klaus Proem:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"24.370277078086\">\n<p>I do believe that there are big votes to cast tomorrow. Local officials take care of the roads and bridges, the trees and sidewalks, micro loans for local businesses, parks and rec, accessing state grants and aid\u2026 lots of the nitty-gritty life here.<\/p>\n<p>In Canton, vote Row A: Town Supervisor Mary Anne Ashley, councilman Jim Smith \u2013 both are experienced, knowledgeable incumbents who\u2019ve worked hard to clean up messes from a previous administration that were uncovered by the State Comptroller. And newcomers on the town council \u2014 Dave Nelson and me, Martha Foley Smith.<\/p>\n<p>In the village, reelect Beth Larrabee and Klaus Proem. Canton is truly moving ahead. Use the navigation to see Progress and Reforms and other pages.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Going beyond the local choices, Martha Foley highlighted several statewide propositions on the ballot, which she claimed would \u201cINCREASE&nbsp;access to voting in New York, to change the redistricting process, and to affirm peoples right to clean air and water.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2021\/11\/FOLEY-EMAIL-1.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18560850\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/FOLEY-EMAIL-1-1024x774-1.jpeg\" alt width=\"644\" height=\"487\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In early October, Martha Foley also sent campaign emails to St. Lawrence University faculty from her taxpayer-funded account to advertise a Canton Democrat campaign event.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cCome out tomorrow to meet and talk with these Democratic candidates who are making good things happen in Canton,\u201d Foley said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Town slate includes incumbents Mary Ann Ashley for Supervisor and Jim Smith, Dave Nelson, and Martha Foley Smith for Council. Incumbents Trustees Beth Larrabee and Klaus Proem are running for their seats on the Village Board,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/MARY-ANNE-ASHLEY.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18560866\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/MARY-ANNE-ASHLEY.png\" alt width=\"637\" height=\"440\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/NELSON-SMITH.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18560898\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/NELSON-SMITH.png\" alt width=\"651\" height=\"653\" \/><\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>In a statement to Breitbart News, a representative for Elise Stefanick confirmed that three propositions on the ballot would grant Albany Democrats near-total autonomy over redistricting, allow for same-day voter registration, and expand universal mail-in voting.<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"28\">\n<p>1.) Proposition 1 attempts to strip power away from the Independent Redistricting Commission (IRC) that New Yorkers overwhelmingly voted to establish. This proposition would essentially nullify the Commission and allow Albany Democrats and the Democrat governor to overrule the Commission and draw gerrymandered maps.<\/p>\n<p>2.)Proposition 3 would create same-day voter registration, eliminating New York state\u2019s constitutional requirement that mandates voters are registered at least ten days before an election. This throws away a crucial process, where the Board of Elections has time to validate a person\u2019s name, address, and eligibility. If enacted, newly registered voters would be allowed to vote on voting machines instead of casting affidavit ballots, which would make it challenging, if not impossible, to disqualify the votes of any individuals later determined ineligible.<\/p>\n<p>3.)&nbsp;Proposition 4 would allow \u201cno excuse\u201d absentee voting. Given the restrictions of the pandemic, Democrats pitch this as a reasonable way to expand vote by mail. However, coupled with same-day voter registration, it\u2019s proven that universal vote by mail is a tool for ballot harvesting.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Rep. Stefanik has been fiercely campaigning against the propositions, denouncing them as a little more than a \u201cshameless\u201d power grab by Albany Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemocrats have falsely pitched these proposals as a means to make it easier to vote, but the facts are clear: These propositions are just another one of Albany Democrats\u2019 shameless attempted power grabs,\u201d Stefanik <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/23\/exclusive-rep-elise-stefanik-new-yorkers-can-stop-democrats-from-rigging-our-elections\/\">wrote<\/a> in a recent op-ed for Breitbart News.<\/p>\n<p>Foley has not responded to a request for comment as of Monday evening.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>North Country Public Radio\u2019s News and Public Affairs Director Martha Foley has been using her taxpayer-funded email account to campaign for Democrats in Rep.
