Terry McAuliffe, one day before the election, a Trafalgar Group survey released Monday revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Monday\u2019s survey <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrafalgargroup.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/VA-21Gen-Statewide-Nov-Poll-Report.pdf\">shows<\/a> Youngkin leading McAuliffe by 2.3 percent\u2014 49.4 percent to 47.1 percent. A very small percentage, 1.6 percent, remain undecided, according to the survey. Cahaly (@RobertCahaly) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RobertCahaly\/status\/1455202942143897603?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 1, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This survey <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/16\/poll-virginia-governors-race-in-dead-heat-between-glenn-youngkin-and-terry-mcauliffe\/\">reflects<\/a>&nbsp;further movement in the Republican\u2019s direction, as Trafalgar Group\u2019s last survey, taken October 11-13, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/16\/poll-virginia-governors-race-in-dead-heat-between-glenn-youngkin-and-terry-mcauliffe\/\">showed<\/a> Youngkin with a 0.9 percent edge over his Democrat competitor.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;Notably, that was the first Trafalgar Group survey showing the Republican candidate taking the lead in the Old Dominion&nbsp;State. The previous polls, one taken in July and the other in August, showed McAuliffe up by two points and 0.3 percent, respectively.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Monday\u2019s RealClearPolitics average of polls, which includes Trafalgar Group\u2019s latest survey, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2021\/governor\/va\/virginia_governor_youngkin_vs_mcauliffe-7373.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shows<\/a> Youngkin expanding his lead over McAuliffe by 1.7 percent after edging the Democrat out in a series of polls over the past week.<\/p>\n<p>While both candidates were expected to hold events in Virginia Beach on Monday, McAuliffe abruptly cancelled his, prompting further speculation on the level of panic behind the scenes within his campaign as the race enters the very final stretch.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <em>Breitbart News Saturday<\/em> on October 30, Youngkin confidently stated that \u201cwe\u2019re going to win this\u201d election, citing \u201ca ton of momentum\u201d and \u201cenormous enthusiasm\u201d he has witnessed in the final days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPolls don\u2019t win elections. Votes do,\u201d he said when asked about his recent surge in the polls. Overall, the Republican said McAuliffe\u2019s campaign is panicking as it realizes that Youngkin is successfully uniting voters over kitchen table issues such as education, lower taxes, safer communities, and better jobs. Ultimately, Youngkin said Virginians across the political spectrum are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/30\/exclusive-glenn-youngkin-panicking-mcauliffe-owns-the-abhorrent-tiki-torch-stunt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">united<\/a> on having a government that \u201cdoesn\u2019t tell us what to do all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That does not bode well for McAuliffe, whom he described as a \u201cbig government control politician who only knows how to dictate and tell people what to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThese are the issues that Virginians are so focused on, and these political tricks that are just divisive and beyond pale have no place in Virginia or any politics and Terry McAuliffe is showing his true true colors, and people are rejecting it,\u201d Youngkin said, referencing the tiki torch stunt pulled Friday by Never Trumpers and Democrat operatives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVirginians are absolutely rejecting this partisan, divisive politics that\u2019s been the trademark of Terry McAuliffe\u2019s 43 year political career.
