Kendi doubled down on a recently deleted tweet that accidentally refuted his entire ideology.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/shot-himself-in-the-foot-ibram-x-kendi-posts-then-deletes-tweet-that-accidentally-refutes-crt\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported, Kendi shared an article on Friday from The Hill noting that white college applicants lie about their race to \u201cget minority-focused financial aid\u201d and improve their odds of acceptance. Indeed, studies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/watch-msnbcs-mitchell-says-she-doesnt-know-if-any-hank-berrien\">reveal<\/a> that black and Hispanic students effectively receive college admissions boosts over white classmates worth 310 and 130 SAT points, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>After social media users pointed out that the article upended Kendi\u2019s belief in a \u201csystemic racism\u201d that inherently disadvantages minority students, he deleted the tweet. On Monday evening, however, Kendi posted another Twitter thread that reaffirmed his narrative.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Let\u2019s talk about the deleted tweet. As I posted last week, more than a third of White students lie about their race when applying for college, according to an online survey,\u201d he wrote. \u201cAnd there\u2019s hardly any accountability \u2014 three-fourths of the White students lying on their applications about their race are receiving acceptance letters in return.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kendi then blamed \u201cdisinformation operatives\u201d for \u201cdistorting\u201d the deleted tweet\u2019s \u201cimplications.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI posted these figures to show how many people may still hold this false belief that White people are disadvantaged,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe angry reaction to my post (and deletion) evidenced this even more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Citing differing levels of wealth, legacy status, and access to advanced classes among college applicants, Kendi again stated: \u201cThese disinformation operatives are claiming I mistakenly demonstrated that structural racism doesn\u2019t exist at the same time they used the figures I posted to claim that structural racism exists against White people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat these disinformation operatives say is not supposed to make sense. It\u2019s not supposed to be substantiated. It\u2019s supposed to be believed. It\u2019s supposed to inflame.
