It\u2019s sad, upsetting and frustrating.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mandelman described the closure as an \u201cequity problem,\u201d saying that he was working on organizing a meeting with San Francisco police, Safeway, and the city\u2019s district attorney. He also said that, according to Safeway, police rarely arrest anyone for theft by the time they respond to a report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of low-income folks, seniors, folks with disability, who rely on that Safeway and other Safeways around the city,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like it\u2019s definitely an inconvenience, not everybody can make it to the supermarket between those hours, so it\u2019s a little frustrating, especially for me personally. I like to shop later on,\u201d said Chris Rankins, who lives in the Castro neighborhood.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Johnny Denham said, \u201cIt\u2019s better for me to come up here after work, go shopping and go home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow it\u2019s like I either have to go shopping before work, or on my days off, which I really don\u2019t like doing,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The subject of crime is central to a growing effort to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/more-san-francisco-prosecutors-quit-join-effort-to-recall-radical-da-chesa-boudin-ive-seen-decisions-that-shocked-my-conscience\">recall<\/a> San Francisco\u2019s district attorney, Chesa Boudin.<\/p>\n<p> Last week, two prosecutors in San Francisco added their names to the growing list of at least 50 attorneys who have resigned or been fired since Boudin took office in January 2020.
