The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) \u2013 a branch of the Labor Department \u2013 then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/10\/12\/politics\/covid-vaccine-rule-large-employers-biden-osha-omb\/index.html\">submitted<\/a> the rule\u2019s text to the OMB for review on Oct. 12.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn November 1, the Office of Management and Budget completed its regulatory review of the emergency temporary standard,\u201d a Labor Department spokesperson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/11\/01\/politics\/vaccine-rules-osha\/index.html\">said<\/a> according to CNN. \u201cThe Federal Register will publish the emergency temporary standard in the coming days. Violating the rule could <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kaitlancollins\/status\/1436051653803794432?s=20\">result<\/a> in a fine of thousands of dollars per employee. The emergency temporary standard will also require employers with 100+ employees to give paid time off for those getting vaccinated and for individuals who experience side effects from the vaccine.<\/p>\n<div id=\"piano-newsletter\" class=\"piano-newsletter\" readability=\"19\">\n<p>\u201cSome of the biggest companies are already requiring this,\u201d Biden said in September. \u201cUnited Airlines, Disney, Tyson food and even Fox News. The bottom line: we\u2019re going to protect vaccinated workers from unvaccinated co-workers. We\u2019ll reduce the spread of COVID-19 by increasing the share of the workforce that\u2019s vaccinated in businesses all across America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin.
