Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) pledged to fight for what she described as \u201cessential\u201d infrastructure as Democrats continue to hammer out the details of President Joe Biden\u2019s Build Back Better agenda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the time,\u201d Pressley declared on MSNBC\u2019s \u201cVelshi.\u201d \u201cAnd if we\u2019re really serious about building back better, I mean, if we\u2019re really serious about this reckoning on racial injustice, this is a gender justice issue. This is a racial justice issue.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Pressley said she would \u201cstay at the table and keep fighting until the ink is dry.\u201d She advised that passing this&nbsp; wide-ranging legislation&nbsp;is \u201cpersonal\u201d for her in addition to \u201cmillions of families.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe can take care of everyone. There is not a deficit of resources. There is only a deficit of empathy,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m going to stay at the table and keep fighting until the ink is dry,\u201d Pressley added. \u201cThis is the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pressley went on to say she was still working on getting provisions in the bill because \u201ccare is infrastructure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is really demoralizing that we have to fight this hard,\u201d she added. \u201c[W]e will all have to play the role of caregiver at some point in our families, and care can\u2019t wait.
