We are responding with the fire and ambulance service at the site close to London Road, Salisbury,\u201d Wiltshire Police said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/two-trains-crash-between-andover-and-salisbury-with-emergency-services-at-the-scene-12456655\">declared<\/a> the crash a \u201cmajor incident\u201d. Around 50 firemen from multiple local fire services are in attendance, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2021\/oct\/31\/two-trains-collide-between-andover-and-salisbury\">according<\/a> to <em>The Guardian<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The trains involved were the Great Western Railway (GWR) 17:08 service between&nbsp;Portsmouth Harbour and Bristol Temple Meads and the South Western Railway (SWR) 17:20 from London Waterloo to Honiton.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Network Rail, which manages most of the rail infrastructure in Great Britain, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/two-trains-crash-between-andover-and-salisbury-with-emergency-services-at-the-scene-12456655\">said<\/a> the rear carriage of the 17:08 GWR service \u201cderailed after striking an object on its approach to Salisbury station\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe derailment knocked out all of the signalling in the area. Subsequently, the 17.20 South Western Railway service from London Waterloo to Honiton then collided with the Bristol train,\u201d Network Rail added.<\/p>\n<p>British Transport Police (BTP), ambulance, and the fire service are in attendance. Around a dozen people are believed to be injured.<\/p>\n<p>All passengers have been evacuated from the trains.
