The results showed that Republicans enjoyed double-digit edges on <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/29\/editor-daily-rundown-biden-cash-illegal-immigrants\/\">border security<\/a> (by 27 points), <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/26\/democratic-confidence-biden-recovery-plummets\/\">inflation<\/a> (24 points), <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/16\/larry-hogan-refund-police-baltimore-crime-maryland\/\">crime<\/a> (22 points), national security (21 points), the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/12\/biden-white-house-warns-american-consumers-empty-shelves-christmastime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">economy<\/a> (18 points) and being effective and getting things done (13 points), NBC News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/meet-the-press\/biden-s-job-rating-sinks-42-percent-nbc-news-poll-n1282781\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"5.4545454545455\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">And here is the \u201cunity\u201d Joe Biden promised us. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/9VufkhM5dC\">pic.twitter.com\/9VufkhM5dC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jillian Anderson (@Jillie_Alexis) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jillie_Alexis\/status\/1454831634805575690?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 31, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Democrats were ahead of Republicans on climate change (24 points), the coronavirus (12 points) and abortion (by 10 points). These double-digit leads, however, turned out to be slimmer than during the 2020 presidential election, according to NBC News. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/28\/new-hampshire-poll-joe-biden-chris-sununu-maggie-hassan\/\">(RELATED:&nbsp;New Swing State Poll Does Not Bode Well For Joe Biden)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The poll was conducted Oct. 23-26, and its margin of error is \u00b1 3.1 percentage points.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust 22 percent of adults say we\u2019re headed in the right direction,\u201d NBC\u2019s \u201cMeet the Press\u201d host Chuck Todd <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/31\/chuck-todd-poll-us-headed-in-wrong-direction-nbc\/\">said<\/a> Sunday, relaying the results of the survey. \u201cA shocking 71 percent say we\u2019re on the wrong track, and that includes a near majority of Democrats who are saying that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Biden\u2019s approval rating stands at a dismal 42% versus 54% who disapprove.
