The greatest we\u2019ve ever had went to the worst\u2026probably one of the worst in the history of the world because no country can sustain what\u2019s happening to our country,\u201d said the 45th president.<\/p>\n<p>Trump criticized reports suggesting the Biden administration is paying hundreds of millions of dollars to immigrant families. During an interview on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clayandbuck.com\/president-trump-talks-to-clay-and-buck\/\">Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Radio Show<\/a>, President Trump said what the current administration is doing is \u201cnot even believable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 45th president is one of several GOP leaders who have showed outrage after the Wall Street Journal reported the Department of Justice, Homeland Security and Health and Human Services were in talks of paying $450,000 to immigrant families split at the border. The money would come as compensation to resolve lawsuits \u201cfiled by parents and children who say the government subjected them to lasting psychological trauma.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Pure insanity. The Biden administration is reportedly looking to pay $450,000 to illegal immigrants who knowingly broke the law.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a slap in the face to our law-abiding citizens who wake up, go to work, and pay their taxes.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kevin McCarthy (@GOPLeader) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GOPLeader\/status\/1453871333306216450?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 28, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Trump, however, asserted one of the reasons he was successful at the border is because of such separation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, one of the things we were doing is separation, which was done before us, but separation. When people heard that, they didn\u2019t come because if a parent hears they\u2019re going to be separated, they didn\u2019t come,\u201d he said. \u201cOne of the reasons I was so successful at the border.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said there\u2019s never been anything like what the Biden administration is doing at the border and that the U.S. has become a \u201cdumping ground.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not even believable what they\u2019re doing. It\u2019s not even believable,\u201d Trump stated. \u201cAnd you have big caravans coming up. You have tough caravans. They went right through the Mexican police like it was butter. We better stop them. That\u2019s all I can tell you.
