Believe it or not, just two months ago Mr. Biden was in positive territory,\u201d Todd continued, noting that the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/06\/quinnipiac-poll-joe-biden-job-performance-low\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">numbers only got worse<\/a> from there.<\/p>\n<p>According to the poll, only 37% of Americans believe <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/20\/biden-america-mental-fitness-president\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Biden<\/a> is \u201ccompetent and effective\u201d or has the ability to handle a crisis. On the flip side, 50% do not believe the president is \u201ccompetent and effective,\u201d and 47% are not convinced of his ability to handle crises.<\/p>\n<p>Todd also pointed to the broader picture, saying that the poll indicates support for Republicans on major issues that could drive people to the polls during the upcoming midterm elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s more, Republicans, believe it or not, have double digit leads in dealing with border security, inflation, crime, national security, the economy and, shockingly, on getting things done,\u201d Todd said. \u201cDemocrats hold generally smaller double digit leads on dealing with climate change, the coronavirus, education and abortion.
