In doing so, they will dump thousands of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Joe Biden\u2019s Air Force One, a heavily modified Boeing 747-200, is expected to touch down in Scotland later today after the short hop from Rome \u2013 one of two identical aircraft the U.S. president\u2019s entourage uses to travel around the world.<\/p>\n<p>It will be far from alone on the tarmac.<\/p>\n<p>The French Cotam 001, Canadian Air Force VIP, German Konrad Adenauer, Japanese Air Force One, Air India One, Australia\u2019s Shark One, and Israeli Wing of Zion are among others scheduled to arrive for the meeting.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.1911764705882\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">China Joe reiterated that John Kerry is &#8220;leading&#8221; the country&#8217;s upcoming global warming effort despite his private jet usage. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/IGhD0f0PmE\">https:\/\/t.co\/IGhD0f0PmE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1436452615831932928?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 10, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Matt Finch, of the Transport and Environment campaign group, told the newspaper \u201cthe average private jet, and we are not talking Air Force One, emits two tons of CO2 for every hour in flight.\u201d He then put that in perspective:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"17\">\n<p>It can\u2019t be stressed enough how bad private jets are for the environment, it is the worst way to travel by miles. Our research has found that most journeys could easily be completed on scheduled flights.<\/p>\n<p>Private jets are very prestigious but it is difficult to avoid the hypocrisy of using one while claiming to be fighting climate change.
