One month ago, the average was $3.19; one year ago, the average was $2.14. The price of diesel fuel has also risen significantly \u2014 from $2.37 last year to $3.63 today.<\/p>\n<p>California, which will effectively <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/newsom-signs-bill-banning-sale-of-new-gas-powered-lawnmowers-leaf-blowers-and-chain-saws-as-soon-as-2024\">ban<\/a> the sale of certain new gas-powered lawn equipment as soon as 2024, is facing a price of $4.59 per gallon \u2014 up from $3.18 one year ago. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/gas-in-one-california-town-reaches-7-59-per-gallon\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported that gas prices in one California town have reached $7.59 per gallon.<\/p>\n<p>During a recent town hall on CNN, President Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-on-how-to-fix-soaring-gas-prices-i-must-tell-you-i-dont-have-a-near-term-answer\">said<\/a> that his administration does not have a \u201cnear-term answer\u201d for reducing fuel costs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy guess is you\u2019ll start to see gas prices come down as we get by \u2014 going into the winter \u2014 I mean, excuse me, into next year, in 2022,\u201d Biden said. \u201cI don\u2019t see anything that\u2019s going to happen in the meantime that\u2019s going to significantly reduce gas prices.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in October, however, the United States Energy Information Administration\u2019s winter outlook <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/heating-bills-could-surge-30-this-winter-energy-department-warns\">predicted<\/a> the largest winter heating price increase in thirteen years.
