(Photo by David Dee Delgado\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 5:30 PM PT \u2013 Friday, October 29, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Attorney General Letitia James (N.Y.), who was in charge of the probe which led to the resignation of Andrew Cuomo, officially announced her bid for governor.<\/p>\n<p>James announced her gubernatorial campaign on Twitter on Friday. Her bid sets up a primary challenge to current Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-N.Y.), who became the first female governor in the state after taking over Cuomo\u2019s role.<\/p>\n<p>The Democrat said she has the experience, vision and courage to take on the power on behalf of all New Yorkers.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I&#8217;m running for Governor of New York because I have the experience, vision, and courage to take on the powerful on behalf of all New Yorkers.&nbsp;<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>Let&#8217;s do this, together. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/JA21M19p5m\">pic.twitter.com\/JA21M19p5m<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Tish James (@TishJames) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TishJames\/status\/1454138856987631622?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 29, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve taken action to divest our pension funds from fossil fuels. I\u2019ve held accountable those who mistreat and harass women in the workplace, no matter how powerful the offenders.
