The survey interviewed 918 likely voters reached by professional interviewers on cellphones and landlines, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Virginia gubernatorial race between former Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) and Republican candidate Glenn Youngkin comes as parents are fully engaged in local education issues, many battling against woke school boards and local school officials promoting the teaching of concepts associated with Critical Race Theory (CRT) and LGBTQ activism, and insisting on mask mandates for all children in schools.<\/p>\n<p>If education is the primary issue in the governor\u2019s race, it may boil down to a view of who is ultimately in charge of children\u2019s education.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach,\u201d McAuliffe stated emphatically during a debate with Youngkin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not going to let parents come into schools and actually take books out and make their own decisions,\u201d the Democrat asserted.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"10.660130718954\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Terry McAuliffe should learn Virginia law. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/VAgov?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#VAgov<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>\u00a7 1-240.1. href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Entertainment\/wireStory\/school-system-pulls-books-graphic-sex-libraries-80219516\">removed<\/a>&nbsp;these two books from its libraries after parents protested.<\/p>\n<p>The governor\u2019s race is down to the wire as Loudoun County Public Schools <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/28\/loudoun-county-sheriff-investigating-multiple-incidents-of-inappropriate-touching-in-middle-school\/\">continues<\/a> to make headlines with multiple scandals.<\/p>\n<p>High school students chanting \u201cLoudoun County protects rapists\u201d held a walkout this week following a decision by Juvenile Court Judge Pamela Brooks that found a high school boy, dressed in a skirt, is guilty of forcible sodomy and forcible fellatio in a sexual assault on a girl in the girls\u2019 bathroom.<\/p>\n<p>The same boy has also been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wusa9.com\/article\/entertainment\/television\/programs\/get-up-dc\/students-and-teachers-in-loudoun-county-plan-to-walkout-of-class-in-support-of-sexual-assault-victim\/65-5617d315-9586-41ce-8ab7-29a130f1f3e5\">charged<\/a>&nbsp;with a more recent sexual assault this month of another girl at another Loudoun County high school.<\/p>\n<p>However, Scott Smith, whose daughter was assaulted during the first incident in May, became a central focus of the story of parents\u2019 struggles with school officials when, on June 22, he was dragged out of a school board meeting and arrested after hearing school officials supportive of transgender bathrooms deny there had been reports of sexual assaults in these spaces.<\/p>\n<p>LCPS Superintendent Scott Ziegler also stated he was unaware of any assaults happening in the bathrooms.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News reported last week, Ziegler later&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2021\/10\/16\/loudoun-county-school-superintendent-admits-failed-effort-to-provide-a-safe-environment-left-wing-board-member-resigns\/\">acknowledged<\/a>, School Boards Association (NSBA) for characterizing parents who are outraged about actions taken by their local school boards and school officials as \u201cdomestic terrorists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The NSBA letter was crafted by Chip Slaven, NSBA\u2019s interim executive director and CEO, and Viola Garcia, the association\u2019s president, who, emails obtained later&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/21\/emails-reveal-nsba-top-officers-worked-white-house-letter-targeting-parents-domestic-terrorists\/\">revealed<\/a>, informed the association\u2019s board of directors they had worked with the White House prior to sending their September 29 letter to President Joe Biden, requesting federal law enforcement use the PATRIOT Act to target parents voicing concerns at school board meetings as \u201cdomestic terrorists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another report yesterday, however, by the Loudoun County Sheriff\u2019s Office <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/28\/loudoun-county-sheriff-investigating-multiple-incidents-of-inappropriate-touching-in-middle-school\/\">indicated<\/a> yet another investigation is underway following multiple reported incidents of a male student inappropriately touching students at a district middle school.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"
