Ron DeSantis\u2019s (R) administration is following through with its repeated warnings and taking legal action against the Biden administration over coronavirus vaccine mandates, suing both President Joe Biden and NASA on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. DeSantis and Florida Attorney General Ashely Moody filed the lawsuit, first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/florida-biden-lawsuit-covid-vaccine-mandates-federal-contractors\">obtained<\/a> by Fox News, \u201cagainst Biden, NASA, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, and officials within the White House Office of Management and Budget and the Department of Defense\u201d over the federal vaccine mandates extending to executive branch workers and federal contractors, the latter of whom the DeSantis administration specifically vowed to challenge.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Florida Republicans filed the lawsuit, which takes direct issue with the mandate on federal contractors, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause the government\u2019s unlawful vaccine requirement seeks to interfere with Florida\u2019s employment policies and threaten Florida with economic harm and the loss of federal contracts, the State seeks relief from this Court,\u201d the lawsuit states.<\/p>\n<p>The DeSantis administration claims the Biden Administration is \u201crelying on a statute\u201d allowing the president to \u201c\u2018prescribe policies and directives that the president considers necessary to carry out\u2019 the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act (FPASA) of 1949 (FPASA),\u201d forcing \u201cmillions of Americans who work for government contractors\u201d to get the shot.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<div id=\"attachment_18210722\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" readability=\"37\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Florida-Vaccine.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18210722\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Florida-Vaccine.jpeg\" alt=\"A woman gets a Johnson &amp; Johnson coronavirus vaccine at a pop-up vaccination center at the beach, in South Beach, Florida, on May 9, 2021. (Eva Marie Uzcategui\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cNothing in that statute authorizes such a radical intrusion on the personal autonomy of American workers\u2014especially, as is the case here, when many of those workers are officials of a sovereign state,\u201d it states, asking the Biden administration to \u201cset aside\u201d Biden\u2019s order and take further action:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"8\">\n<p>The state is arguing that the court \u201chold unlawful and set aside\u201d Biden\u2019s executive order; issue \u201cpreliminary and permanent injunctive relief enjoining Defendants from enforcing the executive order;\u201d issue declaratory relief declaring the administration\u2019s actions \u201cunlawful;\u201d award Florida costs and attorney\u2019s fees; and award any other relief the Court \u201cdeems equitable and just.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The lawsuit follows DeSantis\u2019s prior warning this week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/25\/ron-desantis-i-will-not-let-heavy-hand-government-floridians-take-shot\/\">vowing<\/a> to&nbsp;\u201cnot let the heavy hand of government force Floridians to take a shot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/21\/ron-desantis-calls-special-session-to-take-legislative-action-against-vaccine-mandates\/\">reported<\/a> last week:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"28\">\n<p>\u201cThere are also mandates that potentially could have devastating effects on the state of Florida. One is a federal contractor mandate\u201d which is \u201cputting thousands and thousands of jobs in jeopardy,\u201d he said, noting there are a lot of contractors in Florida, particularly in space and defense.<\/p>\n<p>Those workers are facing getting \u201ckicked to the curb.\u201d Meanwhile, &nbsp;companies \u201care in a situation where if they don\u2019t comply, then they would lose out on getting any contracts which is the basic way they do businesses, and so it\u2019s a really really bad situation,\u201d DeSantis said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo the attorney general and I, we are working now, we want to contest that contractor mandate in court as well,\u201d he said, adding that his administration will also contest the mandate imposed on hospitals through CMS, where they lose Medicaid and Medicare funding if they fail to comply.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Attorney General Moody also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/22\/florida-ag-ashley-moody-warns-vaccine-mandates-will-not-be-tolerated-in-the-state\/\">warned<\/a> during last week\u2019s press conference that vaccine mandates will&nbsp;\u201cnot be tolerated\u201d in the Sunshine State, vowing that she and DeSantis would \u201cpush back against these unlawful and unwise mandates\u201d in \u201cevery way possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The case is&nbsp;<i data-stringify-type=\"italic\">Florida v.
