Abedin refused neither to name the senator nor list his political party and the state he represented. Abedin did not even specify if the alleged senator still serves in the U.S. Congress.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The incident allegedly happened after she met the mysterious senator at a Washington dinner attended by other lawmakers when he invited her out for a walk and then up to his apartment for some coffee. After telling Abedin to make herself \u201ccomfortable on the couch,\u201d the senator then made his move.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIn an instant, it all changed. Scott Applewhite)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Admitting she felt \u201cso utterly shocked,\u201d Abedin then pushed the senator away, surprising him to the point that he apologized for having \u201cmisread\u201d the situation. After the senator pleaded with Abedin, she allegedly \u201cwalked out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen I said something only the twentysomething version of me would have come up with\u2014\u2018I am so sorry\u2019\u2014and walked out, trying to appear as nonchalant as possible,\u201d she writes.<\/p>\n<p>When Abedin and Hillary Clinton crossed paths with the senator on Capitol Hill several days later, Clinton allegedly cut him off,&nbsp;\u201cas if she knew I needed rescuing even though I\u2019d told her nothing about that night.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Abedin, the media circus over the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh prompted her to remember the incident. As Breitbart previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/18\/huma-abedin-anthony-weiner-lied-to-me-for-days-about-lewd-photo-he-posted-on-twitter\/\">reported<\/a>, Abedin also detailed in her memoir how her husband, disgraced Rep.
