Text below the screen grab reads, in part, \u201cShare share share, caught Chinese troops in the containers off our coast, make sense yet??????\u201d The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@knightshade14000\/video\/7015732104705166597?is_copy_url=1&amp;is_from_webapp=v1&amp;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TikTok video<\/a> has garnered over 1,900 likes to date.<\/p>\n<p>The claim that the image shows drone footage of Chinese troops in a ship off the U.S. coast has circulated amid the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/business\/2021\/10\/26\/supply-chain-ports-fees-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">continuing to experience<\/a> a logjam of container ships waiting to unload.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/10\/14\/fact-check-image-all-sitting-ships-waiting-dock-ports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Does This Image Show \u2018All Sitting Ships\u2019 Waiting To Dock At Ports?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A reverse image search traced the picture to the <a href=\"https:\/\/photos.aap.com.au\/search\/tampa%20boat?q=%7B%22pageSize%22:100,%22pageNumber%22:1%7D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Australian Associated Press (AAP) website<\/a>, where the description indicates it was actually taken off the coast of Christmas Island back in August 2001. It shows \u201csome of the 438 asylum seekers onboard the Norwegian cargo ship MV Tampa on Monday 27th August, 2001,\u201d after they were rescued from a sinking boat in international waters, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/photos.aap.com.au\/search\/tampa%20boat?q=%7B%22pageSize%22:100,%22pageNumber%22:1%7D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AAP\u2019s caption<\/a>. The photo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amnesty.org.au\/what-was-the-tampa-affair-and-why-does-it-matter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">can also be found<\/a> on Amnesty International Australia\u2019s website, where it is linked to the same incident, referred to as the \u201cTampa Affair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the \u201cTampa Affair,\u201d the Australian government denied the MV Tampa\u2019s request to enter the country\u2019s territorial waters and, when the ship did so anyway, sent Australian special forces to board the ship to prevent it from getting closer to Christmas Island, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/australia-news\/2021\/aug\/22\/the-tampa-affair-20-years-on-the-ship-that-capsized-australias-refugee-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Guardian<\/a> reported.
