Phil Murphy (D) is facing another controversy ahead of a hotly contested race to keep his seat.<\/p>\n<p>In a report released on Wednesday, Project Veritas exposed the Democrat\u2019s secret plan to give $40 million of taxpayer money to illegal immigrants. In the undercover video, senior aide to his reelection campaign, Wendy Martinez, admitted the plan would be \u201cpolitical suicide\u201d for Murphy.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING: NJ <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovMurphy?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@GovMurphy<\/a> OMITTING info on allocation of Taxpayer Funds to Illegal Immigrants until after election<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s 40 million dollars [being allocated to illegals]\u2026and to designate that at this point would be political suicide.\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/MurphyExposed?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#MurphyExposed<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/b4AzQWx4NX\">pic.twitter.com\/b4AzQWx4NX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Eric Spracklen\ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8 (@EricSpracklen) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EricSpracklen\/status\/1453381888110903313?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 27, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Murphy\u2019s senior aide then doubled down and said he should wait to tell voters about his plan until after he is elected.<\/p>\n<p>This comes as Murphy has found himself in a tightening race against Republican challenger Jack Ciattarelli as voters remain skeptical of the Democrat\u2019s handling of the economy and crippling COVID lockdowns.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, other staffers like the manager of N.J. Forward said he expects Murphy to supply more money to illegal immigrants and added Murphy hasn\u2019t spoken about it on the campaign trail due to it\u2019s unpopularity. This prompted critics like Project Veritas Founder James O\u2019Keefe to warn that in order for voters to make informed decisions about who is elected, they have to know their beliefs and what they\u2019re going to do.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, Democrat Gov.
