Johnson has yet to announce if he\u2019s running for reelection despite already landing former President Donald Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/08\/donald-trump-endorses-ron-johnson-senate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">endorsement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Democratic candidate received between $50,001 and $100,000 in rental income on a New York City condo he owned, according to his candidate financial <a href=\"https:\/\/cdn01.dailycaller.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/eFD_-Annual-Report-for-2021-Lasry-Alex.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">report<\/a> showing his income <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ethics.senate.gov\/public\/_cache\/files\/1d1f7bc9-14f1-404d-ae6d-ba83395e651b\/cy-2020-financial-disclosure-instructions-with-cover--final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">between<\/a> Jan. 1, 2020 and May 12, 2021. Lasry wrote an <a href=\"https:\/\/milwaukeecourieronline.com\/index.php\/2021\/08\/06\/eviction-moratorium-extension-is-a-win-for-wisconsinites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">op-ed<\/a> in August, the same month he filed the income disclosure, applauding the extension of the eviction <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/05\/landlords-joe-biden-cdc-eviction-moratorium-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">moratorium<\/a> and emphasizing that \u201cthe rich have gotten richer\u201d during the course of the pandemic. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/13\/federal-judge-joe-biden-administration-centers-for-disease-control-and-prevention-eviction-moratorium-supreme-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: \u2018The Court\u2019s Hands Are Tied\u2019: Federal Judge Upholds New Eviction Moratorium)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pandemic has brought to light how unequal our country really is,\u201d Lasry wrote. \u201cThe rich have gotten richer, and the poor poorer. No one deserves to be thrown out on the street, especially with Delta variant cases rising throughout the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lasry is the senior vice president of the Milwaukee Bucks and reported on the aforementioned financial disclosure a salary of $300,353 from the team. He previously <a href=\"https:\/\/alexlasry.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">worked<\/a> in the Obama administration where he served as special assistant to the chief of staff to senior advisor Valerie Jarrett, and subsequently as deputy counselor for strategic engagement to the senior advisor<\/p>\n<p>Lasry\u2019s campaign did not respond to the DCNF\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>The federal pandemic eviction moratorium began in March 2020. It was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/29\/centers-disease-control-coronavirus-pandemic-eviction-moratorium-trump-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">extended<\/a> through March 2021 days after President Joe Biden took office. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) subsequently extended the order through the end of June, and later until the end of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/24\/biden-extends-eviction-ban-july\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">July<\/a>.&nbsp; The CDC attempted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/media\/releases\/2021\/s0803-cdc-eviction-order.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">extend<\/a> the order until Oct. 3, but the Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/26\/supreme-court-brett-kavanaugh-joe-biden-cdc-eviction-moratorium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">struck down<\/a> the move in late August.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
